I found it strange that thid particular location does not add the spice into your food as they cook it.
Food tasted great but the hot sauce was only available on the side.
This does not help the hit sauce get into the entire meal.
Shaking the food in the bowl that costs extra all makes no sense to me.
had a very bad experience at Thai Express in White Oaks Mall. I ordered the Chicken Thai Soup and found a hair in it. I complained, and they replaced the bowl with a new one, but I found another hair in that as well. The young guy who assisted me was polite, but another staff member (who seemed to be the supervisor or store manager) behaved unprofessionally . Very disappointing experience!
The food was very disappointing! Looks like the guy that was cooking doesn’t know the real way to cook it as I have the same No. 5 Basil option in other locations and this one was very very poorly made.
We got here because another restaurant we wanted to visit closed for the day and we thought this was still a Ben Thanh location. We were twice bitten and hungry at this point. The service was good and the food was OK. I wont make a point of driving across the city to visit this location again but if Im in the neighbourhood, I would 100% eat here again.

Had the Pad See Ew and loved it. They cooked the food fresh right in front of you. The spice level was perfect. Great place.

Very knowledgeable staff to customize your food order. I stayed close by for work and I had Thai Express for 3 meals.
Little pricey but overall decent. Not as tasty as I'd hoped. Not as good as Ben Thanh.

Everything was good until the lady in the restaurant yelled at her coworker saying “you have to ask me everything, you can’t do it yourself”. I felt bad at that man. I wish I own a business, I would have offered a job to that man right away.

Worst pad thai.. he said most popular. Immediately I saw it and new it would be terrible . I said London doesn't know good pad thai but he didn't care total waste. Stratford Thai is the best .

So they obviously have new owners because the food actually had flavour before. I got the “Thai fried rice” which was bland and flavourless as hell compared to the last time i got it pre pandemic. They use canned pineapple now which is gross. Tastes nothing like a fresh pineapple. The worst mistake a restaurant can make is using canned fruits or veggies. The chicken is now in tiny pieces instead of big chunks. The ingredients that aren’t rice are super scarce.m, so its nice to get a bowl of rice for $14 when it cost them about $2 to throw all those things together. Service sucks now too, no communication skills they just stare at you. Also it’s a very progressive decision they made to switch from the cardboard takeout boxes to generic plastic bowls. ?? * sarcasm * now switch back so i can pretend the food tastes better. Not as though I’ll be back so do as you please.

For 17 bucks I figured I'd get more than a couple pieces of soggy chicken and a ton of rice! Don't waste your money go to wiki hit!
