Always liked this restaurant. However this time we were not impressed. Friday night so Our food took a while due to a party being ordered before us. Understandable.
The mussels were great. I made the mistake of ordering the burger. Might not be their best option. It sounded good but it was very below par for what I’m used at the church key. Dry, Barely any cheese, few stands of arugula and a jam that did not cover the bun. The best part about that meal was the fries. Pork roulade was tough and the sides were barely warm. Duck breast feature was as good and the lamb curry was average.
Service was good as always the drinks were fine. The food was very disappointing, seemed rushed and not up to standard.

Never went, but I'm at Western and I'm doing a case study for my business class, and the case study is about this very restaurant. Based on what this case study says, it's a very successful and profitable business.

Seems like a great place. Maybe I ordered the wrong dish but the vegetable curry was terrible. Sour and bitter. Paid a lot for a dish that I could barely get down.
That being said I was with a group of friends and didn’t want to be that person that complained about the meal. Everyone else seemed to enjoy the food. Not sure I would go back unfortunately

The service was friendly and fast, and it was a cute little pub. Very clean and cute decorations. The lunch menu had very few gluten-free options. Their burgers have gluten in the patty (but this information was not available online when I checked beforehand), so I couldn't have a burger, which is usually something you can count on being gluten-free at a pub. I got the spinach with chick pea pancake. It was really good, but not very filling, especially given the price.

Dietary restrictions: Not many gluten free options.

Wheelchair accessibility: There steps going into the restaurant so I don't think it is wheelchair accessible.

I'm assuming that the gentleman who took care of us was the owner. Can't really explain why, but it was one of my best service experiences ever and I eat out a lot.

A relaxing ambient spot to enjoy a nice dinner and drink. I highly recommend their take on an old-fashioned.

This is the best restaurant in London any time of year and day! My boyfriend and I go all the time, you have to get the Reuben sandwich. Amazing service too, the servers are always so kind. This place deserves every 5 star review they get

Went with my son for b'day dinner. Had mussels for appy with lovely bread to soak up sauce....sooo good! Had the corned beef with potatoes and red cabbage. Once I cut the fat off, it melted in my mouth.... delicious!
He had the game of the week which was venison. Also very tasty and tender. Will be back!
