Got the malatang at maximum spicy level and was expecting something spicier but found it to be pretty mild. Thought it was just okay. Wait time was around 30minutes for seating. Overall not bad though

This place is a blessing from the anime gods, thank you so much for being one of the best experience you can give for the anime fans!

I hope this place keeps growing and get so massive that we can finally get tournament high grade Gunpla dioramas, singing/dancing Idols, and get enough space for all best anime figures to ever exist!!! Maybe you could host Gunpla tournaments and display the best Gunpla there! Or maybe you could host the best Idol contest dance/sing performance and post video/pictures somewhere on like facebook.

I recently visited The Ravenous Taotie at 735 Wonderland Rd N #11, London, Ontario, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in the city! This cozy little gem offers authentic Sichuan cuisine with a unique twist, and it’s absolutely worth a visit.

From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the quirky and fun atmosphere. The decor is filled with cosplay figurines, and one of the servers was even dressed in a costume, which added a playful vibe to the experience. It’s a small space, but it’s packed with personality. The partial self-service style—where you write your order on a sheet and grab your own takeout containers—only adds to the charm and makes it feel casual and welcoming.

The food? Outstanding. I ordered the Braised Sparerib Noodles, and they were a revelation—tender, flavorful meat falling off the bone, paired with perfectly spiced broth and hearty noodles. You can customize the spice level, and I went for medium, which had just the right kick without overwhelming me. The portions are incredibly generous, too—I ended up with enough leftovers for another meal, which felt like a bonus for the price. I also tried the Hot Pot with Soup, choosing black fungus and fried tofu as add-ins, and it was a deliciously comforting dish with bold, authentic flavors.

Service was quick and friendly, even during a busy dinner rush. The staff clearly care about what they’re doing, and it shows in the quality of the food. I appreciated how fast everything came out, yet it still felt freshly prepared. If you’re a fan of spicy, authentic Chinese cuisine, this place is a must-try. It’s not just a meal—it’s an experience.

I’m already looking forward to my next visit to explore more of the menu. Pro tip: call ahead to book a spot for dinner, as it can get busy. For the quality, portion size, and unique vibe, The Ravenous Taotie easily earns 5 stars from me. London is lucky to have this spot!

A pile of minced meat scraps stir-fried with chili is called stir-fried pork?
The meat in the stir-fried pork is probably braised in one pot, and then fried completely into dregs.
Some parts of the meat were very dry, and some were wet. It had obviously been microwaved, and it was all stuffed with stuff.

Great spot for traditional Chinese fare with generous portions. Very unique spot with lots of figurine decorations. We got the hot pot with udon and the beef noodles and both were very good. The food is well prepared and is really filling.
