A lovely family-owned diner. They have more than you might expect. I love the breakfast bowls and my daughter still raves about the Churro french toast that was a daily special one time. This was our go-to brunch spot when the kids were little.

I love coming here to try the specials, they had me with the Big Mac bowl (with chicken instead) earlier this year and now the Turkey Reuben. As someone that no longer eats beef, but loved a corned beef Reuben, walking in to see a Turkey Reuben and then it tasting like it was made in heaven, that was the happiest thing I’ve ever seen on this menu and I firmly believe it should be added year round. Delicioussssss 🤤

Went here for lunch with a friend, I got the smoked meat sandwich, the sandwich it's self was on the smaller side, but what it lacked in size, it more than made up for in flavor, best smoked meat I've had since I went to Schwartz in Montreal. The service was friendly and swift, barely had to wait for anything but the good(which is to be expected). Price was a bit higher, but you definitely get what you pay for. I will be back.

Visited for breakfast and was left disappointed on multiple fronts. The food was strictly average — nothing memorable, and definitely not worth the price. What concerned me more was the hygiene and service. Staff in the kitchen were not wearing hairnets or gloves, which raises serious food safety concerns. Service was slow and inattentive, making the overall experience even worse. I won’t be coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

I got the pemeal & egg breakfast and my partner and as you can see the pemeal was highly overcooked. Service was really slow with no real explanation until 15 minutes in and we got informed they had a large take out order, that aside seems like a cozy spot but with a name like this you'd expect something to really stand out.

Went in looking for a nice breakfast place on a long weekend.
Found that the signage looked a little tired once inside and peeling off all the windows.
The service was slow, despite the restaurant not being overly busy. Coffee was weak and failed to bring cream, sugar and spoon to the table. And bloody expensive - 4$ per cup (unlimited).
Breakfast was slow to arrive… and should be one of the quickest & easiest meals of the day, as only basic breakfasts were ordered. A large family table that arrived after us was served first. Home fries were cool… And made from frozen; not fresh. Beans were from a can. Eggs were rubbery.
Choice of toast was nice…
But alas no singing chef…

Standard breakfast food with a side of baked beans. Food was decent, service was below average, no fault of our waitress. $3.99 Bottomless coffee....never got refilled, never got checked on. Three employees on floor and relied on one lady to hustle around serving 30 people at 8-9 tables while the other two hung out at the counter.

Friendly and quick service. When you order coffee, they bring the entire carafe so we didn’t need to wait for top up. I ordered peameal and two egg , and my friend ordered the Singing Chef omelette. Both orders included toast, baked beans, and hash browns. Portions were very generous, and the hash browns are the best I’ve had. It was crispy outside and well seasoned. I will definitely go back.

I’m a horrible person to please, and this place is perfect. Price is reasonable, food is plentiful and delicious, and the staff is friendly and charismatic. Favourite brunch in the area.

The first time I went, I gave 5 stars. I had a veggie burger and it was good. This morning I went with my family. Had a veggie wrap which is an omlette wrapped in a tortilla. It was okay until I had an unpleasant crunch. I quietly, trying to be as inconspicuous as possible, spit out my food. It was an egg shell. I'm not mad as I know things like this are bound to happen but I'm also not going to spend my hard earned money on an egg shell meal in the future.
Always a great time at the Singing Chef. Thanks for the best service. Food is also the best!
