Restaurant refused to sell anything off the kids menu when we wanted a smaller portion.
I haven't been back since.

I went here for my first time over the weekend and I really enjoyed the experience. Emily gave amazing service and checked in on us multiple times. The only cons that I have are the drinks were quite expensive and the place felt cramped whenever you got up to move.

Had high expectations for this London spot. I ordered a Tragically Maple for delivery off Uber Eats and it was missing the bacon garlic aioli and the arugula. There was also pickles, lettuce, and tomato added to the burger which was not in the description
of the burger and I did not add it myself. Overall 2.5 out of 5, would have rather gone to the Brantford location.

Had an incredible dinner here recently!
Our server Sydney H had such a positive energy, while being attentive to our needs but not overbearing. We’ll definitely be back and asking for her to serve us again !!

I visited The Works yesterday with my family before an event at Canada Life Place. This was my first time there since before the pandemic and it’s amazing how much of the experience has been lost. The menu has been significantly simplified and the restaurant itself has lost the theming that made it unique. Service was slow even before the restaurant got crowded and was also.
The biggest problem though seems to be management and their unwillingness to honour promotions advertised by their company, seemingly as a cost-cutting measure. My sister’s family purchased two adult entrees and should have therefore had the kids meal and a dessert covered free of charge under their “guest appreciation” promotion running for this whole month. The kids meal was billed and a free dessert was not offered as the bills were rushed out.
The worst part was when we tried to use a birthday coupon my wife received. It was supposed to offer a free burger with the purchase of another burger and was valid for 14 days from Jan 17. As we visited on January 18, I didn’t imagine this would be an issue. I was wrong. From the moment we presented the coupon when ordering our server said that management is “very strict” and only allows its use on the actual birthday of the recipient, but that they’d check. When it came time to pay, this same line was repeated despite me explaining the terms in the email. A manager came over to speak with me and continued to try and convince me that their “regular policy” was to only honour the offer on someone’s actual birthday. I was in disbelief and had to continue stating my point until the manager relented and granted the promotion.
If you’re going to offer monthly and birthday promotions to drive traffic, you need to honour them, not just hope the customer doesn’t notice and then pocket their money. Furthermore, it shouldn’t take multiple instances of the customer highlighting your own terms and conditions and an expiry date which was HIGHLIGHTED in red. Arguing with the customer isn’t a good look, especially when you’ve got no ground to stand on other than rules which you’re very obviously making up to drive sales.
I will not be giving this place another chance and I will make sure everybody in my circle follows suit.

Dropped by The WORKS for a bite and was genuinely impressed by both the food and the service. The burger was excellent, juicy, well-prepared, and one of the better ones I’ve had in the area. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better.
One minor downside was a noticeable smell of cleaning agents or something a bit unpleasant when we walked in, not overwhelming, but enough to notice. Parking near the building was limited, so we ended up parking across the street in a garage, which worked out fine.
Overall, still a great spot I’d recommend for a good burger in a casual, friendly environment.
