I would like to thank Pete for going above and beyond after I made a mistake in booking for an event. I called earlier to make an inquiry and Pete realized when I booked I hadn't reserved what I was asking about and reached out by email to offer assistance. This is amazing customer service and you are very lucky to have Pete representing Toboggan!

Extremely friendly staff and very accommodating with dietary restrictions. They had a separate menu for each of Vegetarian, dairy free, gluten free and vegan. Pizza was delicious.

We reserved here as a larger group (15-20 people) and were seated in a separate section of the restaurant. The section had two rows of high top tables. We had both rows and decided to push them together when we had too many for one row but not enough for the other. We didn't want some of the group to be isolated from the rest.
We asked our server and they were okay with it. After moving them, the owner came over in a huff and made a snide comment about not coming into our homes and moving our furniture. He chastised us for setting up a configuration that made no sense for our group size and didn't care to hear our explanation. The way he handled it made the room quiet; it was extremely awkward. Most of us wanted to leave at this point but we had already ordered food and drinks.
Update: we connected with management and they were profusely apologetic. They empathized with us and the above was a misunderstanding. We’ve been here several times in the past and the management has consistently stood as a testament to why this restaurant is a downtown staple. We’ll be back.

2025 updated review : I’ve gone back for pizza here and it’s really really good pizza! I definitely recommend and think there’s been a large improvement from the last time I went 4 years ago. I’d come back for sure. (I recommend the buffalo chicken pizza 100%! And honestly they’re all delicious).
2021: Really not that great anymore….. the tacos were bland and the coconut shrimp one was hella dry. Seems like it used to be better. The waitress was really nice tho.

Mike, we stopped in for lunch today at around 210. Left at 220 without ever placing an order.
We walked in and waited by the door and made ourselves visible to the one server who was busy with 2 large tables, and the bartender. Neither acknowledged us.
We felt it was going to be a repeat of the experience we'd just left at Joe Kools so we went up the street to another restaurant.
It looked like you had one server doing the whole place, on a Friday afternoon, black Friday for that matter. Not a good strategy.

Very pleasing experience! Food was decent, Brew & cocktail was also good. Though, I must say, I enjoyed the atmosphere the most. It was quite loud, but not in a bad way (like too much people talking loudly). Rather, it was filled with music and people enjoying it. Staffs were also very friendly and vibrant, well maintaining the overall vibe of the place. Loved it!

A great work patio lunch spot. I went here a lot pre-pandemic and quality hasn’t really slipped, which is impressive. In my opinion, you gotta get the pizza - not only is it thin, generously topped, and perfectly balanced (prosciutto pear is my go-to), it’s easily the best bang for your buck on the menu. At $25 apiece, I usually eat half and bring half home, which covers most of dinner for that night, or split it with someone. Patio is lovely too, though their wasp control should be improved.

The food is pricier than some of the competitors, but I think you’re partially paying for the atmosphere. Went here during the jazz festival and it was an incredible vibe. The service was great, the drinks were great and food was good.

A lot of the people I go with really enjoy the food, but I'm the odd one out and find it decent. Always had a good experience with service and enjoyed the patio and the small store at the front to buy cans of brewed beer.
