the waitress dropped a cast iron pan and burned two of the children we were with, they asked us to pay on the way out i did to not make a scene, but should have refused.
Food was great but the staff is racist and rude. I would not come back here !
The food was sub par at best - every dish seemed to taste the same.
The atmosphere and restaurant itself was quite dirty, filled with flies, and it was extremely hot.
Absolutely consistently delicious. Staff is so friendly and down to earth. Very busy when we were there but the staff are efficient and hard working. They work well together
Amazing food infused with Mexican flavours, but mild enough for the average Canadian to enjoy, without having the spice level rocket off the charts. Less authentic than actual Mexican cuisine, but enough to whet the pallet and enlighten the mind to the unique characteristics of Mexican cuisine.
Everything about this place is mediocre. Nothing's great, nothing's horrible. The chips and salsa given before the meal are relatively good and probably the best part. As for the rest of the food its just ok. Limited alcohol and tequila choices (specially for a Mexican place). The vegan options aren't the best, and not really on the menu l. You have to ask. There are plenty of vegetation options on the menu. The consensus of the table was average. It's also a bit dated inside. Seems to be relatively busy so I'm happy for them. The raspberry margarita tasted like syrup and tequila. Sorry I forgot to take pictures at this one
Great food and service, we were given some free queso and chips for waiting a little long. Our server was also very nice and the food was delicious. We forgot to take some pictures this time but I do recommend the steak chimichangas
My Best Latino restaurant for the last 10 years .
Already thinking of when I can go back! Their service from the front door to leaving was amazing, friendly and funny staff! The food speaks for itself from the photos, very eye catching but just as delicious, you really cant go wrong with whatever you decide to go with! Their deep fried ice cream is a must try!
Caprese was our waitress and she was the BEST!! Amazing service and amazing food!!

This is place has great good, but sorely in need of a renovation. Good food and good service.
The food here is what you would expect from someone who read about Mexican food in a magazine but has never seen or tried anything remotely Mexican.
I don't know how you mess up chips and guac, but they did. They fried the wrong type of tortillas, added the wrong spices, and served more store-bought garlic paste than avocado on the plate. It was gross.
I've lived outside of Mexico for about 15 years and have tried all sorts of Mexican and Tex-Mex restaurants around North America. I like most of them because they serve good food, even if it is not authentic, except for Under the Volcano. This is by far the worst attempt at Mexican food I have ever tried.
If you want to eat Mexican food in London, go to one of the many other options with better food, such as Ivano Poblano, Mexican House, La Michoacana, or Dos Tacos. Even Los Lobos has much better food, even if it is not authentic.
The atmosphere is not bad, but the food was so terrible that I couldn't justify more than one star on my review. This is my second time trying the restaurant. I tried it once many years ago, but I wanted to give them a second chance, big mistake.
I ordered quesadillas via Uber and they were delicious. Now a week later I wanted them again. They were full of dry chicken… no cheese or vegetables or sour cream. What a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!!
I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone
I have been going to Under the Volcano since their first location.
The food is excellent and always consistent. The service is always so fast and friendly. Warm atmosphere. Leave room for dessert. Their deep fried ice-cream is a must try!
Food was fantastic, quick and delicious. Definitely going back when back in London
