stake was very poor quality.So tough could not even chew.Did not eat any of it. The manager did not address the issue even though she was six feet away. Paid for BEER and left never to return.One star is to good a rating.

Took my mom here for her 80 th birthday. When we arrived I told our server that we were celebrating a special birthday and asked if they did anything special. She said they didn’t. My mom and her friend ordered the steak frites. The steak was tough and bland, the fries were good. I had the salmon with rice and caesar salad. The salmon was a good portion and was cooked perfectly. It came with a creamy dill sauce. The rice was good, however the caesar salad wasn’t very tasty. The dressing was bland I would not recommend it. For dessert my mom and her friend had the caramel cheese cake. The manager came around and asked how everything was so we mentioned the steak. She was surprised and said that she would mention it to the cooks. She came around later and said the dessert was on the house. The place got very packed and was loud. My mom is hearing impaired so it wasn’t great for her. Her friend had recommended this place to us, however I would not recommend it for special occasions. I would definitely come back for some pub fare and to check out the large patio.

Had a less than ideal experience here last night! Ordered Steak & kidney pie, I understand not for everyone but done right it’s a treat. Not the case this time the kidney was Not prepped correctly, the internal fibrous tissue had not been removed & the dish was inedible. I brought it to our servers attention with no real acknowledgment of my concern. Got the bill & one of my dining companions asked to have the issue brought to the managers attention as I was being charged full fare. He came over barely listened to my complaint and with some arrogance eventually agreed to comp the meal. My biggest concern was never truly acknowledged, if it had been undercooked chicken or dried out fish perhaps it would have been taken seriously. I understand in this day & age few people consume organ meats but if it is on a menu the kitchen should know how to prepare the item properly. It will likely be a long time before any of our group returns if at all. A truly disappointing experience!

We have been coming here for decades and absolutely love it. Food is great, staff is always friendly and the food is always delicious. Wings are the best in London and the Bangers and Mash are delicious.
