They refused entry to the restaurant with a service dog and no wheelchair access. The owner was rude when he saw the service dog and dismissed us off the property. I’m never going back.
Anyone who is familiar with this little gem know they do not take reservations. We always plan around the times and avoid when it is most busiest. Today we were seated immediately in a waterfront table. I always look forward to the seafood fettuccine Alfredo and it is still number one in Ottawa in my opinion. We had excellent wait staff and an amazing waitress. The bruschetta was great, our mains excellent with wine and he enjoyed his pecan pie and coffee. Our service was impeccable and our waitress accompanied us to the dock where my boyfriend proposed. It was absolutely beautiful and she took photos while everyone clapped. I want to thank all the staff at Kelly’s Landing for the fantastic service, the chef for the amazing food and the owner for his kind and cheerful service and lastly all the customers tonight who applauded. I wished I would have remembered our waitress name who made our experience magical! Thank you!
Hey, Some city bumpkins who aren't use to calling for reservation. STAY HOME ! Locals are happy to enjoy the fantastic sevice, attention and view while while patiently waiting at Kelly's under current regulations. We, Love the food, service, location and would prefer those not happy the way things are run ....well, that's OK. We look forward to another enjoyable new year (2024) season of great food and service at Kelly's Landing, the best in Manotick.
Went there on Monday evening with a group of 8 to celebrate 51st wedding anniversary. They don't take reservations which is fine and I had no issues with it. We came around 5pm and the patio was not too full. When my wife and I got there, the other 4 people were waiting outside as they were not allowed in until the whole party is there. Bit confused with that as while we wait, we could have a drink or two, and have another drink with the meal. They are passing on opportunity to sell more drinks but... We were finally allowed to go inside as the last 2 people should be arriving in a minute. Only at this point we were told they don't do tables of 8 and we could have 2 tables of 4!?? We just waited 15 minutes to be told we can't have a table for 8??? Not a great way to celebrate something sitting at separate tables in my opinion. We asked to be seated inside so we can all sit together and were told "We are not staffed for seating inside." Terrible service and experience.
1. We tried to book a table for a group celebrating 52nd marriage anniversary - they don't take reservations. 2. They didn't let us in until "we all get together". They could've sold us some extra drinks by the time the rest showed up. 3. Only once we all got together they told us they were not going to join multiple tables. No mention of it 10 min earlier although they had known how many people were coming. 4. They refused to put us inside (this was for the terrace) for a reason I didn't bother remembering.
My partner and I went today for lunch and the whole experience was enjoyable. My partner had a ribeye and I had a fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and broccoli. Both absolutely delicious! Definitely coming back!
Great food and atmosphere…but… AN OUTDOOR RESTAURANT CLOSED ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. Ridiculous. Such a shame for those who work, which I imagine is most of their clientele.
While on vacation in Toronto, we made a lunch stop at this venue. Decent food, quite poor service. Server disappeared, food cold, asked numerous other people for our drinks, and to top it , server comes back as told us we should asked him for our food. I kindly said, well, if you had not disappeared for 20 minutes (empty floor 2 tables occupied counting us), I would have. Terrible service and meh food. Not worth it.
The food was meh. Frozen burger patty, caesar dressing was from a bottle, frozen fries from a bag, dry, hard chemical tasting croutons, My margarita was horrible (tasted like it was made with lime jello) and the waitress asked us to finish up as there were people waiting for our table after being there there just over an hour. We had a friend in town visiting that was with us. It was embarrassing.
Excellent service, authentic local community smiles!

Beautiful terrace right on the Rideau river, excellent service. The salade were fresh. Very good burgers. Nice selection of local beers.
Drove to Kelly’s Landing hoping to have a nice meal along the water with my husband, friend and our children (6 and 11 months). By the looks of the restaurant you would assume this would be a family friendly establishment, but it is far from. Instead we were faced with terrible service and a rude owner, at a restaurant that does not accommodate young children. They do not have any high chairs available in the facility and did not allow strollers. When discussing our displeasure with the owner he simply said “why do you think we don’t have a kids menu”. We were in disbelief! Additionally, this establishment is not wheelchair accessible. This is unacceptable! We all will not be returning! There are many other beautiful friendly restaurants that deserve our service.
My friends and I travelled 30+ minutes to have lunch at Kelly’s Landing with our two children (6 & 11 months old). I arrived ten minutes early and tried to get a table and was told that I could not sit down until the entire party arrived. There was plenty of space available. Once my friends arrived we went all together to get a table and we’re told that “no strollers” we’re permitted. I was actually in disbelief that a restaurant couldn’t accommodate this but said no problem and asked if we could have two high chairs. We were told they didn’t have any high chairs or booster seats in the facility and therefore could not accommodate us. I asked to speak with the owner to explain our disappointment and his response was “there’s a reason we don’t have a kid menu”. We suggested if this was the case it should be mentioned on their website to avoid this happening to others and the owner simply laughed. He was very rude and didn’t seem bothered in the slightest. In addition, the facility is not accessible to people with disabilities and as a result I will be following up and making a complaint for violation of AODA. Wish I could rate this place a zero. So disappointing for such a great location.
As new boaters, we just discovered this charming destination. We had perfect weather to pull up and enjoy a meal and drinks with friends. We were lucky to arrive just before a larger influx of visitors. Although we waited maybe 20 minutes, it was a pleasant location for a wait. Each of our meal choices was fresh, plentiful and delicious (fish tacos, chicken boxty, chicken parm sandwich, sides of fries or salad). The server was pleasant and attentive despite being run off her feet all day in the heat. Doubt we would ever have stopped here by car - it doesn't look like much from the street. However, by boat, it made for a perfect summer evening experience. Apparently, it's only open for the summer so the place is hopping whenever the weather is good. Great variety on the menu with a mix of the usual fare and some interesting selections. Prices were reasonable and include a beautiful waterfront patio. We'll be back.
Okay-ish food and slow service. Nachos were soggy, pizza was like cardboard. Good kids meal options. Nice atmosphere with huge skylight roof. Service was slower than usual in this region.
