Firstly, I would like to say how amazing the staff at Arun Bakery are. Always pleasant even while attending to a busy store. This has got to be my favourite Srilankan restaurant. I travel from Stouffville to Vaughan just for the chicken biryani. Amazing dishes at Arun Bakery. I have tried many different dishes and all are wonderful. Thank you for keeping your food very consistent!!!!! I will always be your loyal customer!

Nasi goreng was not nasi goreng. It was so so - spicy, slightly sour rice & didn't seem fried. I think it was just lemon rice with added flavouring. It had chicken, shrimp, fish, carrot & onion.
I recently visited Arun Bakery and had the pleasure of trying their samosas, masala vadais, and methu vadais. I must say, I was thoroughly impressed! Not only were the snacks delicious, but the prices were incredibly reasonable, making it a perfect spot for students like me.Here's my breakdown of each snack:Samosa (9/10): The samosa had a perfectly crispy exterior with a flavorful fillingMasala Vadai (8/10): The masala vadai was crispy on the outside and soft on the insideMethu Vadai (8/10): The methu vadai was wonderfully crispy and had a great texture.Overall, my experience at Arun Bakery was delightful. The staff was friendly, and the ambiance was cozy. I'll definitely be returning to try more of their delicious snacks. Okay hear me out... I grew up in scarborough, where all the best sri lankan food is, prehaps? I now live in North Toronto. I took a chance on this place a few years ago (when I lived closer) and I loved it. I recently tried it again via uber eats, steep delivery fee since they are near wonderland & because i'm so far away ... BUT it's so worth it!This is hands down the best Sri lankan/tamil food in Ontario... maybe even Canada. Yeah I said it...Their curries are spicy and so delicious, biryani (tried prev) is amazing, the veggie curries are so good especially their eggplant pickle! None of my food was stale like other places Iv'e ordered from.They follow order notes. Who ever was the chef/staff tonight please keep them as long as you can.
