I recently visited Ajisen Ramen and had a really satisfying meal. The food was flavorful and well-prepared — I tried the tom yum ramen, which had a rich broth and the right level of heat. The toppings like corn, marinated egg, and bean sprouts were fresh and generous. The grilled beef on the side was tender and perfectly seasoned, and the tonkotsu ramen also stood out with its creamy broth and juicy pork.
Service was quick and friendly, with staff checking in regularly and being very accommodating.
The atmosphere was decent but could use a bit of a refresh — the lighting and layout felt a bit plain and didn’t quite match the quality of the food. Still, it’s a comfortable enough spot for a casual ramen night.
Overall, I’d definitely return for the food and service. Solid 4/5!

The Sirloin steak teppanyaki on sizzling hot plate which was a fantastic touch and good price $14.99. You can pay extra for rice or ramen. I added seaweed salad and the portion is bigger than other restaurants.

The owner, who was also our server, was incredibly courteous and thoughtful. Without hesitation, he suggested the lunch portion when I ordered, as I was dining alone, which I really appreciated.

When the plate arrived, he explained that I could cook the beef longer on the other side if I wanted it more well-done, since the plate was so hot. The sizzling sound and delicious smell were incredible! I really appreciated the flexibility to cook the steak exactly how I wanted it. The meat itself was incredibly juicy.

My family was feeling like a ramen, and ramen that measures up to Vancouver ramen. We loved our BC ramen experiences!
Ajisen ramen, appetizers and the summer drinks were delicious - reminded us of Vancouver ramen!! We will definitely come back!

I recently visited Ajisen Ramen at Warden and Steeles, mainly because my child missed the same restaurant back in Hong Kong. Otherwise, I probably wouldn’t have chosen to dine here, simply because Toronto has so many ramen spots that are much more outstanding in terms of both quality and variety.

This isn’t to say there is anything particularly wrong with their food or service—they’re generally consistent with what you’d expect from the Ajisen chain. But compared to other ramen restaurants in the city, the experience feels rather ordinary and lacks the depth of flavor you can find elsewhere.

One aspect that definitely needs improvement is the ventilation system. The dining area gets stuffy very quickly, and the air feels heavy with cooking smells, which makes it less comfortable to sit and enjoy a meal.

Overall, it’s an option if you have nostalgia for the brand, but if you’re looking for the best ramen in Toronto, there are plenty of better choices.
