Their Katsu sandwiches are so worth dying for ! (Most I bought was 8,it was just that good)The breads are also very tasty and does not hardens overtime like other bakeries, not even the least processed bread Ezekiel could compare. Boston cream is also a must try as well

Their bread and cakes are nice. Love their black sesame cheesecake in particular.
I dropped by on a Wednesday
, thinking it is opened because of what was posted on google map, but was shocked to see the shelves and displays all empty. There was a baker decorating cakes at the back section, however she said they aren’t open on Wednesdays.
I’ve visited Bakery Nakamura many times over the years, usually after grocery shopping in J‑Town. The bakery is always reliable — good selection, fresh buns, and consistently tasty cakes. It’s one of those places I keep coming back to because the quality stays steady every visit. A simple, dependable Japanese bakery I’m always happy to stop by.

cake was not fresh
The bread is just average, and the price is on the expensive side. After I got home, I realized they overcharged me. Do not recommend!

Usually I like their cake, but this time is a big disappointment. The strawberry cake tastes weird. And $8 before tax it’s totally not worth it …

Bread offered is very stale. Almost certain it is at least a day old. Be careful when buying bread with sausage, chicken or imitation crab. You will likely get sick.

A very nice and authentic Japanese bun and pastry place in J-Town Markham. Good variety of buns available for breakfast or snacks. Tasty and impressive. Recommended.

This bakery is not unique in any way. It is placed in J-town but lacks the Japanese commitment to excellence. All the bakery items (we had the cream cornet, curry donut, curry bun, chocolate bun (with the bear)) we ate had the same base, it felt like biting into white bread with custard in it. Custard was great, the bread was not. I strongly urge the bakers to use a different, softer dough for their baked goods and not recycle what they use for their breads. Underwhelming.

Always the best !!! Never fails
I bought a sandwich machine from Japan. This is the only loaf bread fit my machine at Toronto. You can choose the thickness. The quality of bread also number one at this area. Their tofu cheese cake always sold out quickly. You will never regret for their bread and cake.
Great bread and delicious treats, nothing overly sweet. Just right 👍
