Always busy, the app is helpful. Good food, pretty quick, lots of open times for dining in and take out. Lemon chicken, noodles, crab and fish maw soup.

Cashier here always rushed you into ordering on take outs. It was not busy then when my wife and I tried to order, but we were forced and rushed into ordering from their menu.

Food a bit salty but still good as always otherwise.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this Conjee Queen location on Highway 7. I visited with my family to celebrate a special occasion, but the service we received was unacceptable. After being seated and given menus, our server never returned to take our order. We waited nearly 20 minutes without any service at all before deciding to leave.
The staff appeared poorly trained, struggled to communicate in English, and displayed unprofessional behavior. What made this worse was the discriminatory attitude we experienced as South Asians, which was both hurtful and unacceptable. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was only provided with the contact of someone named Tony, who showed no concern or willingness to address our complaint.
I strongly recommend avoiding this location. The service is unwelcoming, dismissive, and far below acceptable standards.

Came in around 9PM and ordered a few dishes: BBQ pork, Singapore noodles, eggplant and sizzling beef. Huge portions of food came out within 2-3 minutes of ordering which we thought was odd. Following this meal both my husband and I had severe diarrhea.
Been to Congee Queen many times in the past (mostly in North York). Sad to see falling quality and food safety.

I like the food. The congee, Cantonese chow mein, turnip parties and the sweet&sour shrimp & chicken tend to be my go to dishes.

Congee Queen has always been our family’s go-to spot for lunch. We’ve enjoyed many meals here over the years and appreciated the consistent quality and generous portions. However, our recent visit was quite disappointing.
We came in around 3:30 in the afternoon and ordered the rice noodles with beef and a fried rice vermicelli dish. Unfortunately, both dishes seemed to have been pre-made and left sitting too long. The rice noodles were soggy, and the beef lacked freshness—tasting as if it had been prepared well in advance rather than cooked to order.
We understand that this was during off-peak hours, but quality should remain consistent throughout the day. We hope this was just an off day, as we’d love to continue coming back for the food and service we’ve come to expect.

The environment and service are about 3–4 stars, but the food… honestly, it’s really bad. I’m genuinely curious how this place manages to stay in business.

My experience at Congee Queen was deeply disappointing, especially given the restaurant’s name. The food quality fell far below expectations for a place specializing in congee and Chinese cuisine.
We ordered several dishes, but none stood out positively. The sweet and sour pork arrived lukewarm, diminishing its appeal. The congee, ironically, had a glue-like texture that made it nearly inedible. The eggplant lacked the smoky wok hei aroma that defines well-executed stir-fries. The fried rice was mediocre at best, and the fried squid was chewy and bland, missing any depth of flavor.
For the prices charged, the quality was unjustifiable. Overall, the meal was a letdown, and we won’t be returning.
