Had lunch this week here. Nice spot. Nice waitress. Daughter of the owner. Service was ok, food was ok.Servings small.Very expensive.$60/p for pasta dish, shared appies and water, including tax and tip. No alcohol.Waitress missed one person’s main which was annoying. It came out late after everyone was finished.I would not recommend or return.

Very cosy restaurant on Markham Main street. highlights of our meal included the cheese wheel pasta special with panko crusted chicken which was amazing. The Tiramisu was amazing. It was light soft and creamy. The lemoncello Tartuffo was also a hit. Some of our other dishes were tasty but not home runs. Service was friendly and servers came to full our wine and water on a regular basis. Restaurant is on the loud side. Overall very good and recommended.

I came here with my cousin last week and we were so disappointment. We had very high expectations considering the reviews. We started off ordering drinks ( mojitos ) and they were NOT good. The bartender clearly did not take the time to properly mix these drinks. They just poured things in a glass and found some mint and just threw it on top - it was not good. However, our server was excellent and she allowed us to return the drinks. We ordered the Rose instead. When we got our drinks there was ALOT OF STUFF floating at the bottom of our glasses. It looks like chunks of something, not sure what it was, or if that was even normal, but we decided to drink it anyway. This wasn't even the biggest issue, but it certainly set the tone. The issue was the menu and the amount of food you get for the price. We started with the cantina platter which was a whopping $19.00. This came with 6 small thin pieces of bread and the smallest little ramekin ( probably a teaspoon) of pickled vegetables from a jar that clearly came from Longos. I have it at home it tastes exactly the same. Calling it a platter is a very BIG stretch. For our main meal I ordered the Fettucinne Di Piemonte. The noodles were cooked perfectly and the dish looked amazing, however ZERO FLAVOUR, like none, and it was SWIMMING in olive oil. I think I could have bottled it and had enough to cook with for a week. My cousin ordered the Sofia Mia pizza. The dough was so chewy and hard, and there was literally no figs, or goat cheese on the pizza.. it was dough with two handfuls of arugula. It was very hard to eat.We were super disappointed with our meal from beginning to the end. Our server was very polite however, and did a great job.Overall I would not recommend this place for drinks, if you aren't ordering the wine ( and maybe not even the wine ), I would not recommend for the appetizers as they are grossly overpriced for what you get, and the meals were lacking in flavor. In the words of Gordon Ramsey "What a shame".

I took my gf here on saturday to celebrate her bday. When I was doing research, I found out that this was one of the only restaurants in the GTA serving tableside pasta in the cheese wheel.Calling in to the restaurant, I had been told that the chef usually does the cheese wheel pasta on saturday night so you can imagine my immense disappointment when I found out upon asking, that the chef was actually out of town on THIS particular saturday night when I wanted my gf to experience something special.Anyways, we were sat right away upon arrival and the servers hung our coats on hooks near the entrance (within visual range). We never actually got a designated server (idk if the hostess forgot about us or not) but throughout the night we took it upon ourselves to flag down a very young gentleman named Jordan who provided great service to us throughout the night.Seafood platter for 2: This was actually a lot of food. I was skeptical when we ordered it but it came with a ton of seafood which justified the near $40 price. The seafood was also cooked well. Everything was so tender. The calamari rings in particular. And the battering was light and crispy. We also really liked the fresh citrus dip on the side that the platter came with. Dipping the seafood really helped to cut back on the richness of the batter.Ravioli de maddalena: So this dish was actually a lil disappointing. It was supposed to be the signature pasta of the resto but aside from the nice flavour of the veal (which my gf didn't particularly enjoy either since she said it tasted like lamb), the pasta was too thick and the simple butter sauce didn't coat the noodles well enough.Fettuccine carbonara: We both unanimously agreed that my dish tasted superior. The sauce clung to the noodles way better. It was more rich and full bodied. The noodles were actually al dente and had better chew. The egg yolk on top was a nice added touch.Tiramisu: WOW. This dessert was a showstopper for sure. Most legit italian restos will have a really delicious, homemade tiramisu and this place was no exception. It was just as good as the tiramisu we had at Il Postino on Main St Unionville. Absolutely sublime.Would come back but only if I knew the chef was in the house that night making the tableside cheese wheel pasta!

Food was okay, I got the carbonara which was a bit too salty for my liking. I didn’t realize the fried calamari would be almost doused in balsamic glaze, maybe would’ve preferred that on the side. The escargot were very smothered in cheese and believe were wrapped in prosciutto. The place itself was very home-y and small which gave it a very cozy vibe. There was a birthday celebration happening so I can’t really fault the servers for their lack of attention to our table. Overall it was a decent place for a cozy Sunday dinner.

Service was super friendly and welcoming. Wish I got the Penne al la Vodka. Instead, I went for the Pasta special with panceta, which was finished table side, in a cheese bowl, by the owner.Dish was heavy and one noted. Men's room could use an update. Excellent dinner atmosphere & decor. Nice evening out with friends.

I would have given 5 stars but we were a little miffed about one thing. We had reservations for 4. We were told that after 6 pm, there is a 2h limit for the table. After 90 minutes we were all done and were waiting to pay our bill. A guy (not our waitress) comes to our table to tell us that we will need to leave soon. I just found that to be very odd, if not rude. Party foul on Folcos!Wheelchair accessibility: This restaurant is not Wheelchair accessible at all!

Pretty little family run restaurant, located along a street full of independent business. Front of house staff define hospitality and made us feel at home.Caesar salad ordered for the table was a hit. As was the calamari fritte. My ravioli was just as I’d hoped it would be, a good balance of pasta to filling, dressed in classic butter and sage. My father can be a little hard to please but he really enjoyed the carbonara.Prices are fair for the quality of food. It feels like the chef/owners strive to maintain a standard and select ingredients to reflect this. Home made pasta here also demonstrates a commitment to quality. Even the espresso was a cut above and definitely one of the best I’ve had in a while. If I was in town for longer I’d definitely return.

Everything at this restaurant exceeds expectations. My ONLY complaint was that our table wasn't ready by our reservation time. We ended up eating at the bar but the food and service was well-worth the small change of plans.Parking: Not many spots in the back lot, but we've never had trouble finding a spot on the street closeby.
