I have been a loyal customer of Fu Kee Dim Sum for many years, starting from the Scarborough location during the COVID period, then First Markham Place, and now the Unionville Markham location. I’ve always appreciated the convenience and variety of their dim sum.

However, I was disappointed with my recent purchase yesterday. Unfortunately, the food was excessively sweet to the point that it was difficult to finish. This was quite different from the quality I’ve experienced in the past.

I truly hope the management will take this feedback seriously and pay closer attention to food quality and consistency. As a long-time customer, I would really like to continue supporting Fu Kee Dim Sum and see it maintain the standards that made me a regular in the first place.

I’ve been buying frozen dim sum from them for many years — starting at their Scarborough location, then the one near First Markham Place, Richmond Hill, and now Unionville. But I recently noticed they have a troubling practice: they round up charges even when customers pay by debit card. That kind of rounding isn’t allowed, and while the extra amount may seem small, it adds up over time. More importantly, it’s a matter of principle. Also, they don't give you the receipt until after you paid with the rounded amount. I’m not sure I want to continue supporting a business that engages in shady practices like this.

Precook dim sum. Great place if you want to save money. Solve my breakfast problem

Is this supposed to be Ma Tai Go? The texture was completely off . It was watery and never set into a proper jelly. It’s clear that the ratio of Ma Tai flour to water was incorrect. In addition, it was far too sweet to be enjoyable. I would appreciate a refund.

As for the positive reviews, I honestly don’t understand them. I believe people should try more authentic versions of these dishes elsewhere.

The Lo Bak Go was also disappointing. There was too much flour, and almost no Lo Bak flavor.

The sticky rice shumai and the Malay sponge cake were equally unsatisfactory. Overall, this experience was quite poor, and I won’t return again.

Not really all that great imo. I purchased shrimp dumplings, truffle pork and shrimp soup mai, chicken soup mai, and a few others.

Shrimp dumplings had a one one piece of shrimp the size of a dime. Truffle siu mai had a black topping that seems like it was truffle. But it was a dark leafy green that was cooked down. It did not taste like truffle

It also seems they don't list all if the ingredients on the packaging of their products.

Overall, I don't recommend

My sister brought me here because she thought I'd like it. I always get to try new places whenever I visit.

The person at the cash was friendly. I like the cooler bag you get when you buy a lot of stuff. I'm from Ottawa and we don't have great dim sum here, so I loaded up a cooler with goodies.

Prices are good and the store is bright and organized. I haven't tried the ready made meals, but everything else was as I expected them to taste. I guess I'll have to continue to load up my cooler whenever I'm in Markham... until the franchise opens in Ottawa!

So glad I discovered Fu Kee Bao Dim! They offer a huge variety of dim sum, baos, dumplings, and Chinese dishes that make life so much easier. Everything is frozen and ready to steam, no need to defrost! The location closest to me is right across from Markville Mall. The lady there is super friendly and helpful, she took the time to introduce different dim sum options and explain how to properly steam them. My top favourites are the Cream Custard Bun, Har Gow, and Siu Mai, highly recommended! Perfect for quick, tasty meals at home.

Surprisingly good quality and easy to prepare dim sum and many other food items! Enjoy dim sum anytime anywhere with a steamer mostly in about twenty minutes or even in about ten minutes. The best thing is that all these dim sum and food items are kept in freezer but mostly there is no need to thaw. One simple way to steam these dim sum and food items is to use a simple rice cooker that comes with a steamer basket. Don't forget to get the steamer paper from the store or otherwise easily from many other places. Very simple, straight forward, and easy to follow instructions! Large varieties and many to choose options. Shrimp dumplings, pork and shrimp dumplings, beef dumplings, BBQ pork buns, and chicken feet, just to name several. The prices are reasonable and compatible with those at other stores and supermarkets. Other food items are also very easy to prepare. Mostly just steam for twenty or thirty minutes! Enjoy an authentic Chinese dinner even if you are not a chef nor even a good cook. Minced Pork & Salted Vegetable, Baby Cuttlefish With Curry sauce, and Curry Beef Brisket, just to name a few. For anyone with a busy schedule, these food items save you not only time but also money. Anyone will enjoy the food items alone, with your friends or family and have a wonderful Chinese dinner time!

Everytime I'm in Markham I try to stop by here. Love stocking up the freezer with authentic Chinese dishes and dim sum for whenever my family has a craving. Prices are reasonable.

giving 1-star experience because of your rude cashier. i usually buy here when i pass by the area but earlier i wanted to pay using my wealthsimple debit card and your cashier wouldn't allow me and insisted that they only accept canadian debit card, and gave me an angry stare.

first of all. what i have is a debit card. second. wealthsimple is a canadian company. third and most importantly. it's very upsetting for receiving an angry stare and tone despite i calmly explained to her that it's a debit card from canada.

and why cant you just configure your POS to not accept credit card in the first place..

your staff needs to be educated with proper customer service...

not coming back here.
