This was not a good experience.
We arrived with no indication of what to do and kinda just figured it out ourselves. You have to order the soup base individually and get your own food from the fridge. We had the basic menu, which is $45, not $39.99 as said on the site. This does NOT come with drinks or dessert. At the end, we were charged 18% gratuities. The waitress came by maybe twice? Once to give us our soup base and another to tell us that it is last call. We were charged $122 for 2 people in the end and, in my opinion, you do not get what you pay for here.

We had the premium birthday dinner on the weekend spent around $150 for 2. The meat was fine, unfortunately the Lobster and crab wasn't good at all. We quite enjoyed the abalone and sashimi.

It’s first time here. The staff is very friendly and the environment is nice decorated and clean. You have to try seafood here. You can also order sushi as well.

Our party of 10 had our Chinese Nee Year gathering at Gourmet Tribe and enjoyed a fantastic meal.

We booked our table for 10 via OpenTable and had no trouble checking in upon arrival.

There are a large assortment of soup bases available and since they are served in individual pots, everyone can choose what they liked.

After the hardest part (picking the soup), you can proceed to mixing your sauce and go to the “supermarket” section with a shopping cart to pick your own toppings for the hotpot.

As it is CNY, boss lady treated each of us for a non-alcoholic drink. Appetizers and vegetables are Al’s included with the meals.

The two teenagers have the best time eating all the meat they can and the rest of the group also enjoyed our meal.

Great service who make sure we have water to drink and broth for our hotpot.

Will sure return for more when we need more hotpot.

just a phone enquiry on why dinner rate not on the website, they said it would take 2 more weeks for that to be posted. What a joke that it would take for this restaurant to need 2 more weeks to have it posted on the website. The person who answered the call was rude by not answering a simple question of WHY!!!

Cute concept. Like shopping in a market. Then eating and cooking right away. Lol

We tried this spot for Chinese hot pot and left pretty impressed. The seafood was good quality, and there was a nice range of proteins and add-ins to choose from. The sushi was unexpectedly fresh and flavorful, which was a pleasant bonus. That said, the vegetable selection for the hot pot could definitely be expanded.

What really sets this place apart is the interactive setup — you grab a cart and walk around selecting your own meats and ingredients, almost like you’re shopping in a mini market. It adds a fun, hands-on element you don’t usually get at hot pot restaurants. The space feels modern and well-kept, and the staff were attentive and efficient.

Prices run a bit higher than the average hot pot restaurant, but the concept and overall experience make it a worthwhile splurge.

The food was ok and we entered an almost empty restaurant on a Sunday noon and the service was really awful. Be careful what they tell you, the hostess introduced us to their buffet by luring kids, saying that you can have UNLIMITED ice cream here. Of course the kids were really happy and begged the parents to stay. Even though the food looked ok only.

Halfway through our lunch time, the waitress came over and warned us that it is only one ice cream per person( and the kids have already eaten two ice creams). The kids were worried that they gotten into trouble.

Then a second waitress came over and told us that our dining time is up soon as we only have 2 hours. However when I looked at my watch, we have only been there for less than 80 minutes. I think the waitress just wanted to get off work early and make us leave.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE
DO NOT GO THERE
DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY
The tip is automatically added to the bill as I would imagine many people would not want to tip after such a horrendous experience.
They bellied you has horrible clients. If you DO NOT order extra paid items

JUST DON’T WASTE YOURE TIME AND MONEY ON THIS HORRIBLE PLACE!

We first heard about this restaurant through Youtube. Later, my brothrer has visited it and introduced it to us with many good comments. So, we decided to celebrate the birthdays of our fmaily members at this resaturant two weeks ago.
As we had 17 persons, it arranged two tables for us in their private room just at the left hand side of the entrance. There were only 3 tables and fully occupied. However, the envioment is not too noisy and suitable for chatting.

This restaurant offers one hot pot per person style for the customers who can then choose one‘s preferred food. Actually, it provided a wide variety of food choices for the customers including seafood, beef, pork, chickens, meat balls, vegetables, etc. It alsogave us a number os options of soups sc as pork, fish, tomatos, milk, so on and so forth. All of the food are fresh and tasty. We enjoyed the meal vey much.and considered the cost of $80 per perosn is value worth.

Though thefood is good, the customer service needed improvemnt to a certain extent. As observed, the severs generally showed a square face to the customers. Perhaps they are busy in getting around, but it is not a valid excuse.

Not bad for the service and quality of the food. More varieties will be helpful to get 5 stars

Highly overpriced for seafood that was not fresh. There is an issue when Dungeness crab meat is going mushy. The crustacean has been dead for too long.
The soup bases are way too saturated with MSG and seasoning. We used up an entire kettle of cold water to dilute our soups, yet were still quenching our thirst hours after we left.
Selection is meagre and quality is poor for the price point. It may have been worth a try if it was half the price we paid. Though, I probably wouldn't have tried this place, if I had known.
For reference sake, we went on a Sunday; not a weekday, expecting weekend calibre, but we were thoroughly disappointed, especially with the high 4.4 rating posted on Google.
We went in full swing, but what a miss!

A differentiator from other hot pot restaurants in GTA is this one, you choose your meats from freezer buffet style. Also salmon, squid and red snapper sashimi available as AYCE as well. 2L Amber brewery draught beer available for $8.99. yes you heard me right. Enjoy!

A unique AYCE hotpot and sushi restaurant along with a 'market' to buy items and sushi to go

Some of my friends found the instructions confusing, unclear and not English-friendly

There were 4 prices with different sections of the fridge you can grab from so that confused some people
Drinks are not included, paid separately
Their website doesn't quite explain the process very well
No paper instructions or explanation was given, thankfully some of us understood Mandarin to get the main idea

AYCE Non-Alcoholic Drinks $7

AYCE Lunch Prices (soup bases included)
MON-THU $24
FRI-SUN $26

AYCE Dinner Prices (soup bases included)
MON-THU
Hotpot only $44
Hotpot + Sushi $60
FRI-SAT
Hotpot Only $46
Hotpot + Sushi $62
(Includes crab & lobster)

Fridges 15 and on are not part of AYCE

It's best to consult your server for clarification (like Sunday price).

Overall the food quality isn't as bad as what other reviews had said. The seafood wasn't rotten. The service was good however, we did wish they came to refill our soup more often. The individual pots were cute but the power could be stronger and it definitely struggled to cook the big pieces of lobsters.
The sauce station was good. The overall cleanliness of the restaurant was good. The sushi ordering however could use some improvement; we only received less than half the sushi sashimi order we put in. They insisted 2 hours seating time but we waited till the end for only our second sushi order to come in and when we asked about it they said there's only one chef and he's on duty for something else. So we felt like we didn't get what we paid extra for.

Overall I'd return for another visit.
