Heard a ton of amazing things about this roaster, and finally got to visit today. It's a nice location, and the man working at the front was nice and helpful picking the best bag of beans for me. They had a bunch of different coffee making gear for purchase, and the pour over I had was fantastic. It's pricey, 10 dollars for the coffee I drank, and some of their roasts can go up to $70+ -- but it's award winning for a reason! My inner coffee geek was really happy to finally see this place. Would recommend. :)

I got the limited blend Sakura Nagashi Americano. Lovely floral notes in both smell and taste. Not bitter tasting. Very kind service. Not too much sitting room.Will definitely come back to try more coffees.

Wanted to grab a pour over - didn’t realize the prices were steep! $10-$13 depending on the beans. Probably would have been the best pour over ever, but opted for the cheaper americano! Very nice taste! Lots of beans to choose from, lots of coffee paraphernalia!

Bought a scam bag unknowingly after I was tricked by a distributer of this coffee (a cafe in Orillia) into thinking it was an intentional quality blend. Bizarre. Feel dumb for not even reading it. Would recommend actively avoiding this roastery for bad business practices. In what world does this "product" exist from a legitimate coffee roaster? Negative experience and energy from all of those involved in this predatory marketing gimmick.

Amazing selection of freshly roasted beans, and every order from them has been fulfilled and delivered quickly!Although I’m a huge fan of coffee, I am not able to consume much caffeine, and so often I need to drink decaf. Currently the market for decaf beans is very small, and the roasts are fairly dark and quite understandably not nearly as good. However, the El Paraiso Decaf from Hatch is so far the best decaf I’ve tried! I can finally make a decent pour over with decaf beans now!I very much appreciate Hatch’s attention to good decaf options. Hopefully the coffee industry recognizes the need for more/better decaf options and follow in the footsteps of Hatch :)

My recent experience has confirmed that Hatch is not focus on individual customers and would rather focus on larger retail stores. As I entered the store young gentleman with glasses did not even acknowledge my existence. When I asked my first question I was directed to the vending machine at the door mentioning that they have a full selection over there. He than went on about not having enough people turn up for work. I guess the working environment is terrible and it shows. I think Hatch forgot what made them special in the first place yrs ago….it’s not just about the product because products can be easily duplicated ….once u start loosing clients u won’t get them back….I noticed the service has been in decline the last 2 times I was there but this experience was the worst…enough said

May as well not serve coffee with the level of customer service.. Came into the store and ordered a "white espresso". Unbeknownst to me they ONLY serve oat milk drinks (it does say in a small print at the bottom). Person at the counter provided 0 explanation, customer service, and well he barely spoke a word. Coffee came out super sour since paired with a light roasted coffee bean (starlight) which should've been a recommendation to not go for the combination... Or it is brewed poorly. Hatch may as well just sell coffee beans and not let this person ruin their reputation by serving coffee. Never again.
