Before trying this place you wonder why there is a 15 minute long line for it in the late morning. After trying this place you realize why. The quality of the roast and barbecue pork especially are amazing. The roast pork was so crispy. The duck is good too but the meat was was a bit sparse on it.

2nd visit: I guess this place is super inconsistent because the barbecue pork was chewy and the roast pork as well this time.

Yesterday I bought roasted pork over rice. Minutes later when I sat down at a food court table to eat, as soon as I opened the food container, I saw a big fat maggot crawling in the roasted pork. It was disgusting . If there was one maggot, there must have been more. The management must be vigilant with their restaurant's hygiene or it will affect consumers health and it will face penalty. Please take my feedback seriously

Insanely good for the price. Between this and excellent BBQ I prefer KS. From my experiences the line and service was faster here

This place is good value for price, but not worth the trip if it's out of the way

They won’t tell you if they are out of duck, then you lined up for 20mins and finally get told of that, horrible
They accept cash only and need you to pay tax

Visited this Chinese BBQ stall in the First Markham Place food court and ordered the red sausage and BBQ pork on rice. At $10, including Chinese cabbage and a side of soup, it’s one of the best values you’ll find in the city.

The flavours were great, and the portion size was generous. However, the fattiness of the meat can be inconsistent depending on the time of day — something to be aware of if you have a preference for leaner cuts.

Expect a wait. We went on a weekday evening and waited around 15 minutes. Also note that it’s cash only, so plan accordingly.

Reading the hype...I got 2 meals 1x BBQ pork chasui/soy chicken, 1x soy chicken/duck and a separate 1.8lb of BBQ pork chasui. Ate in the food court...at first I thought it was just the BBQ pork pieces I got in the meal, but then when I tried the container of additional BBQ pork. It was even worse. The Chasui had a bunch of grizzle in it and the fat in the meat was not succulent/clear fat. The flavor/sauce was good but the cut of meat was poor. Price is good on the meals but a bit more per lb. Meal portions are great and the chicken tasted good. Was just a bit disappointed after waiting in line for 20 min to get 1.8lb + a dinner meal of lesser quality meat chasui.

Got the 3 items on rice and duck on noodles. The broth was tasty and the rice and noodles were fresh. The pork had a lot of bones and cartillage but I think thats how its supposed to be. The chicken was good, especially the crispy skin. The duck was the star of the show - so so good. Cant really get any better for $10 but expect a lineup, I got lucky and only waited for 10 minutes. When I return, Ill get a half roasted duck.

Always a huge line up, and for good reasons. Generous portion, fair price, and good flavoured roasted pork and bbq pork. The squid is also good, tender and chewy.

Got the bbq pork and roasted pork. Surprised the skin was crispy as the entire dish was wasn’t exactly hot. Flavours were good though! I think the selling point here is the affordability as you cannot go wrong with a $10 meal. Line is long but decently quick. Worth trying!

The duck here is absolutely outstanding, have been eating BBQ duck at many different restaurants over multiple decades in the GTA and this place is the best. Zero exaggeration. The Char Siu was not very good though so hard pass on that. Did not seem very flavorful. But the duck alone gives this place 100000/10

Always a staple at the First Markham Place foodcourt for Chinese bbq street meat. Cha Siu, roasted pork, roasted duck, sausage. Always popular with tons of people compared to their competition a couple of stalls down. Only one that has a noodle soup option too with your choice of 2 meats on top. Then they add sweet sauce to enhance the flavour further. Generous meat to noodle ratio all for $10 plus tax. Cash only. Satisfies cravings every time.

Whenever I have family visiting from out of town, this is what they crave.
