Follow @bredgyeats for more food posts! This cantonese BBQ spot is understandably the most popular stall, with a long snaking queue to get some high quality chinese bbq'd meats. The char siu has a balance sweet and savory bite, the duck was moist and tender, and the roast pork has an awesome crispy and fatty skin.

TLDR: great place for great taste and great value. Must be willing to line up. Accepts cash only. There are only two places that cause line ups at this food court. If you're facing the store fronts, this is the one on the left. The line went quickly with almost 1 customer/2 mins. My husband and I shared the 4 item combo with BBQ duck, roasted pork, range chicken, and salted egg. Portion size was enough to feed the both of us. There was a lot of flavour throughout the dish which complemented well with the white rice. Not only did this dish make our bellies full, it kept our wallets full for costing less than $15 including tax (if you didn't bring cash, I remember passing an ATM somewhere in the mall)! All-in-all, super positive experience. Thank you HKS for keeping good food affordable especially during these times. Looking forward to our next visit!Parking: There's definitely a lot of parking. Can it keep up with the demand is a different story. If you don't come at opening, expect to wait or drive up and down aisles to find parking.

It was my first time to buy a left-hand box of roasted meat chicken rice. The roasted meat was super fat and the free-range chicken was all over. The weirdest thing was the sauce on top of the rice. I didn’t know how it tasted. It was so unpalatable that it wasn’t worth the wait.

Lao Yu Hao, the service is terrible, the product is extremely poor, the blackened meat is still sold, and the meat to be built is as big as a fist,There are so many people queuing up on weekends that the number of times is overcharged, causing a huge decline in business.

This shop serves up the most classic Cantonese style barbecue. It’s the closest shop to what you would find Hong Kong: no frills, solid, goodness. The only downside is the long line up. Prepare to wait 15-30mins to order.

Had the pork and duck on rice. Very tasty, slightly sweet but barely warm which was a disappointment.....

Long line all the time since it's famous for its Chinese BBQ meats. I really enjoyed the roast duck, it was very moist, flavourful, and fatty. The other meats that I tried (roast pork and BBQ pork) were decent.Overall: 3.5/5

I think the meal combinations are good price based on most of the reviews. However, if you just get bbq food, it's very expensive. I got the roast pork ( rib / belly) at $14 a lb, and a whole duck at $37. For comparison, Farm Fresh on Sheppard charge $10 and $30 respectively. Plus, they charge tax but never give out receipt. I would not give them anymore business.

Super affordable and tasty HK style bbq meat. Roasted pork skin was crispy, duck and chicken were flavourful! I was told that there'll always be a line for their food. We lucked out, only waited less than half an hour at around 2.30pm on a Sunday.

The food was delicious for the price you pay. We got the bbq pork, roasted pork and duck combo which comes with rice, some veggies and soup. This three item combo comes up to around $10 and can feed two people without being too full. Everything was so fresh, and the food court was very clean when we went (late morning/early afternoon on a weekday). Highly recommend! The line was short when we went since we were early and the service was still slightly slow. I can imagine the service to be slow if they are overwhelmed with orders but haven’t gone personally during peak hours.
