Still one of my go to spots for Taiwanese fried chicken in Toronto. It's a real shame the downtown and North York locations closed, because Hot Star has always been a favourite. That said, this location absolutely delivers and tastes exactly how I remember from the other two spots.

The chicken is massive, crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and seasoned perfectly. That signature flavour hits right away and brings back all the nostalgia. Portions...

Very good fried chicken! Very delicious and very different fried chicken! Unique Taiwanese huge fried chicken! Crispy outside and juicy inside! Be aware of small pieces of bones! Freshly prepared! 20 minutes waiting time is not that bad but it is worth the wait! Hopefully Pacific Mall renovates the area soon! Be sure you arrive early to get a spot to sit! Enjoyable supersized Taiwanese fried chicken! Excellent experience!!

I love their fried chicken, especially the chicken with cheese one and love to pair it with the fried mushroom and sweet potatoes. Price is very good for the size of chicken you get. Not sure why so many bad reviews of this place. Definitely recommend trying this place out if you crave fried chicken
