I saw google photo for this place, hair cut 40. more expensive with senior hairstylist. I booked for haircut for my teenage son, no special request. on day of apt, I notice another photo, hairstyling 55, 60..etc ok, maybe price changed, updated. my son came out, $ 75 plus tax with cash. OMG! never assume the photo is true. a simple haircut! I don't see him flying with glow.

I had the worst experience ever! I booked an appointment for haircut and I wanted layers. I told the hairstylist Wilson I just want a trim and front layers. He started to tell me if I get front layers than there will be a “problem” with the back. He continued to explain to me and show me pictures of the kind of cut he can do but he can’t do the front layers because the back will not be ok. The most weirdest experience I have ever had in my life. He basically said he can’t cut my hair! I drove all way and booked an appointment and the hairstylist told me there will be a problem with the back if I get layers at the front! When I asked for the manager or someone to speak with he said he’s the manager and owner of the salon!

Throughout our consultation, I made every effort to clarify the pricing. When you expressed that the prices were too high, I even provided alternatives to help reduce costs. Ultimately, the final prices I quoted were $300 for bleach and tone for the top of the head session, and $360 for a half head. When these prices were still beyond your budget, I courteously saw you out. It is unfortunate that this was misconstrued as anything other than a professional conclusion to our consultation.

When trying to find a new salon in my area I decided to try this place as their prices seemed reasonable. Needed full highlights as my roots were dark and I wanted some dimension. But the rest of my hair is blonde so it was only for the roots.
Called and was quoted $120-180 (if my hair was long) and was happy with the quote and booked for the full highlights with Gwyneth.
Once I got there I waited a bit to meet with the stylist then as soon as we started talking she was saying it would cost me $280-500 for PARTIAL highlights only on the top of my head and the very outside hairline.
Then after I mentioned I was only quoted $120-180 max she started saying “the girl on the phone would have never said that”.. as if I’m a liar and made it up. When in fact the quote was the only reason I chose here.
I walked out immediately after realizing Gwyneth clearly was trying to rip me off. $100 more -$500 for partial instead of full?? Ridiculous!!!
I wouldn’t have minded the price for full highlights but definitely not that much for less work than I booked for

Got a haircut with KK and it’s be far the worst hair cut I’ve received. Extremely choppy, didn’t give me what I wanted and on top of it all, she gave me bangs?!? Now I have the headache of styling super short bangs that I never asked for every day. Do not recommend this salon.

Initium is a lovely salon! I love the lghting in this salon, very spacious! My first time visiting to get a hair cut and colour done with Gwyneth. Super professionally and hair came out exact the way I wanted it too!! I highly recommend this place, prices are fair and the head massages during wash is my favourite part!
