Ok. The doubles were good, I will give you that. However why do I need to spoon half and inch of oil from the top of the curry beef gravy and the curry beef itself to even taste flavour? Oil is not a flavour, it's an ingredient. Your kitchen staff should know better. You should be spooning off the oil and bits from the top as you cook. I'm disappointed because the doubles are the best I've had since I've been here.

Got some doubles. Service is excellent. Food was extremely fresh and will rejuvenate you right off the bat. They even have branded napkins which is crazy.

Good amount of saucy channa, while the bara is on the thinner side. Lot of turmeric and good flavor.

Only thing was that the extra hot was more of a mild, almost no spice. But still very good doubles.

I have been coming here for a pre or post meal workout.

I order the jerk chicken dinner which has white meat. The food tastes well seasoned and is definately less greasy than other jerk places I have had. I also like the steam veg they serve on the side.

Boneless chicken roti was very good.
The oxtail dinner on the other hand was disappointing.
The meat could have been cooked at least an hour more or put in the pressure cooker… no lima/broad beans. I guess I expected Jamaican oxtail but nope… Jamaican cousin!

I've been coming here for years and felt the need to post a review after our most recent order. I don't know what to say about the food...it was already amazing but this last time it was better than ever before! Someone complained about the portion sizes, I find that ridiculous as I honestly can eat a single portion for three days worth of meals. My whole family including kids were fighting over the leftovers. I grew up eating roti daily for dinner and can say this measures up to authentic West Indian food. We have also ordered food for catering for a house party on many occasions and the staff have always been so helpful in meeting our needs. I love this place!

Poc review. If youre looking for authentic west indian curry this is not the place for you. I dont taste any curry in the rotis at all. It taste like chicken made in parsley and other spices

Had to try this new restaurant for me as I knew/know of the original restaurant that was in Dufferin Mall at the time I was growing up and later opened at Dufferin & Queen (8 Gladstone Ave, Toronto, ON M6J 3K6).
I loved the food especially their chicken roti which I tried a lot when originally at Dufferin Mall.
I had to try their rlchicken roti at the new place just to see if / or how close I could remember the original restaurant style. For me it was really good and for me the difference was the new restaurant only had boneless chicken roti. I had always had the original regular chicken roti and it is what I knew. The staff is very down to earth.
I definitely recommend this restaurant to try especially if you enjoy rotis. I would rate it definitely at a (4.5) but for some reason I cannot do a half star.

Very expensive for portion size. I'm a small eater (ie will order junior burger at Harvey's and be full) and one dinner meal just fed me, so it did not fill up my husband nor son. I personally would not return.

I went to this new location to check it out and I noticed that my favorite thing that I used to get from the original location in dufferin Mall ,the bone-in chicken thigh roti wasn't on the menu. this location only offers boneless chicken breast which is strange since their oldest location on Don Mills has the bone in chicken thigh that tastes just like how the mom used to make it in dufferin Mall. If you are in the Don Mills and Lawrence area I highly recommend you stop by and grab a bite to eat.

I've been on a quest for this taste ever since they shut down that spot downtown by Dufferin and King. I'm normally hesitant when buying roti or goat, but man, this was so good I couldn't even wait to get home. I ended up eating it in the car, and let me tell you, it's a miracle I didn't drive off into a ditch!

This place needs to fully cover their hair. On two occasions I have found hair in my food. The first time was in my doubles and the second was in my curry chicken roti. This is a completely turn off. I lost my appetite immediately and I lost my money as well. I hope that the management can put the right health and safety measures in place to increase food quality.
