I always loved Korean food and this was my first time at this location and they definitely left a very positive impression on me and my friend. Our server Alicia was extremely welcoming and made our time very memorable.

I had been meaning to try this place out for a bit and finally remembered to go.
We grabbed 2 of their lunch specials to go. The restaurant was fairly quiet when I went so ordering and wait time was short.
The place looked clean and AC was working.
Onto the food.
The banchan - japchae and kimchi were pretty good, well seasoned and not too fermented. The potatoes tasted a bit bland - lacked some seasoning.
L5 - chicken bulgogi - not bad, tasted like a spicy chicken stir-fry with vegetables, was bell pepper heavy. If you don't like that might be an issue for you. Don't really get why they called it bulgogi - it doesn't have the classic char or bulgogi marinade taste under the spice. Was a good sized portion for the lunch price and sauce went well with the rice.
L7 - Jab chae rice bowl with beef - my sister said the japchae portion was good but the beef was a bit dry and also a bit bland (not marinated enough?). There was a squiggle of sauce drizzled over the meat and egg, didn't add enough to the rice to balance the tastes.

Overall not bad - don't regret trying it and might come back to try some of their other items (i.e. fried chicken and stews) as it it very close to home, but for now Sung Won near Unionville will remain our go to for Korean in Markham.

My true opinion. Good service; however, do not order the Tteok-bokki… it was runny and bland and for price they charged Not worth it!. It tasted worst than an amateur cooked it and not restaurant quality.

I don't normally write reviews but their service is unacceptable. I called and ordered a beef kimbab and cold noodle. Whoever took the order specifically asked if I wanted the cold noodle with soup and I said yes, with soup. When I arrived at the restaurant to pick up my order, I told them I'm picking up my beef kimbab and cold noodle. The lady said just the beef kimbab, and I corrected her and told her again I ordered the beef kimbab and cold noodle. She then told me that they sold out of the cold noodle soup and asked if I still wanted the beef kimbab. I asked her why they didn't tell me they didn't have the cold noodle soup when I called and even confirmed with me if I wanted the one with soup; she said she didn't check. I asked her why they didn't call me back and let me know and had to wait until I get to the restaurant, she couldn't even answer me. I ended up canceling my order. If you planning to call and order, make sure they confirm that they have all the ingredients because they won't tell you ahead of time.. good luck with that.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our New Go-To for Comfort Food & Fried Chicken Heaven!**

We stumbled into Jeonjuhyang craving Korean comfort food (no BBQ this time!) and left *so* happy we did. Their **general Korean dishes** are the real deal – fresh, flavorful, and always consistent. But the star? That **budae jjigae (army stew)**! 🍲 It arrived bubbling, packed with goodies, and tasted like pure comfort in a pot. Seriously, we’ll be dreaming about it.

Oh, and I *have* to gush about their **Korean fried chicken** – it’s honestly some of the best I’ve had. Super crispy outside, juicy inside, and just the right amount of kick. We fight over the last piece every time!

As a parent, I also really appreciate how **family-friendly** they are. We brought our toddler, and it was stress-free – spacious, not too loud, and they have high chairs. Plus, **plenty of parking** (no circling the lot!) and **easy wheelchair access** with **disabled parking spots** right up front.

If you want tasty, reliable Korean food (especially that stew and chicken!), a warm atmosphere, and zero hassle parking? Jeonjuhyang’s your spot. We’re already planning our next visit!

Went here for dinner with some friends on the weekend. The restaurant is clean and spacious. Staff were friendly and provide excellent service. We ordered the Gamja Tang, fried chicken and dolsot bibimbap. Food was delicious and my kid who is picky about her gamja tang approved of it! They are also generous with the banchan and you can ask for refills. Will definitely be going back there.
