Really had high expectations for Jumbo Lobster Restaurant. The menu is a carbon copy of Fishman Lobster Clubhouse Restaurant so not sure if related to the OG but definitely not the same experience here. We ordered dinner combo #5. Highlight of the meal were the lobsters done 3 ways. Salted egg yolk, Maggi, and HK style. All flavourful and cooked really well. Lowlight was the service or should I say the lack there of. Multiple attempts to flag down anyone willing to help all evening. Many looked directly at me then scurried off in another direction. They all seem put out when asked to do anything, like a glass of ice water or extra gloves. Lobster roe Fried rice was dry and had an overabundance of peas. Odd flavour combination. Steamed fish was pleasant but standard fare. Dessert felt like an after thought. Tasteless. Almost $400 including the service fee is steep for a dinner for 4. Would rather go back to Fishman Lobster Clubhouse for a more predictable experience.

We came all the way from Montreal to have dinner with family. And I took my two dogs with me, because I lived too far away and couldn’t leave the dogs where I lived. I could only ask the front desk if the dog could be tied up on the terrace at the door (it was closed. And there was nothing empty). The front desk rolled his eyes and said no. I said that someone would have to wait in the car. The unbelievable thing happened, she actually said, just wait. I've never seen a receptionist with such a bad attitude. Is he a relative of the boss? The service is really not worthy of a restaurant like this. I won't be returning. I drove a few hours from Montreal with my two dogs, because it's an hour's drive from where I live and I can't bring my dogs to the hotel first. We have a 8 people dinner tonight. So I asked the front desk if I could temporarily leave the dog at the terrace outside (it's empty right now) and the front desk's tone and attitude were very impolite. She rolled her eyes and said no. I said we have a family dinner, however we need someone to wait in the car with the dog right now. The receptionist said contemptuously that you can wait. What an incredible way to talk with customers. I've never seen such bad service in a restaurant. She could have a better service next time. Worst experience ever.

Great tasting dim sum and lobster. Even had lobster congee. The bbq pork buns are so cute and tasty.

Went here on Good Friday for lunch with family, table of 13, this place was packed. Ordered a set meal and it comes with our choice of 6 dim sum dishes, we ordered 3 more additional dim sum just in case it wasn’t enough. I must say, the dim sum selection was mediocre, leaves us almost with no choice at all, we ended up doubling up to make up for the 9 dim sum dishes, flavours were only ok, the crab was not enough flavours, and the lobster was a bit on the salty side, but still tolerable. The service was not great, only 2 napkins were given for a table of 13, when we ask servers to give us some, and another time we asked another server to give us some hot sauce and mustard, both of them just had a dazed out look and just walked away, we didn’t even get any “ok”, “yes” as acknowledgement, so didn’t even know if they heard us until they brought back these items ? seriously could use a bit more manner and customer service training, don’t think will go back again, just coz the kids aren’t really into seafood, and the dim sum dishes they eat aren’t even offered at this place, so after lunch, we had to bring them to another place for bubble waffles ?

Not many dimsum choices as focus is on the lobster. Did not disappoint! Every dish felt special with a twist, very fresh ingredients. Service is slow, but the yummy food makes up for it.

I've read that this is actually a sister resto of Fishman Clubhouse w/ the same ownership?Anyways, our group was celebrating two joint bdays between 2 ladies (my gf and one of her besties) and as a group we were originally planning to go to Fishman but they were fully booked out. Thus, we decided to try Jumbo Lobster. It was my first timer here.Parking lot was plentiful, there was a ton of spots so that shouldn't be an issue. The decor was more modern than Fishman imo (also the lighting was brighter).I had heard that the most ppl came here for a lobster + suckling pig set combo but I didn't do any of the ordering (it was handled by one of the bday girls) so unfortunately I'll have to return to try some suckling pig.As far as what we ordered, we decided to forego crab in our set and opted for additional lobster topping off at 30+ lbs of lobster for our party.Lobster mountain: The lobster is a carbon copy of the quality you'd get at Fishman. Very tasty and succulent sweet meat. The fried garlic chips are amazing as usual. Fishman started using fries instead of the tiny fried fishies throughout their towers and the bottom of the mountains a couple years back and that practice is maintained at this resto. What I WILL say however, is even though I think I prefer the fried fishies over the fries, this resto DOES have better fries than Fishman. They had more flavour and the fries are crispier here.Black pepper beef tenderloin: I was delighted w/ the quality of this dish. It was on par with the beef tenderloin at Starchiva, which is the benchmark for beef tenderloin for me right now imo. The beef was cut into BIG BOI chunks but remained super tender.Sweet n sour pork: I had my hopes up for this dish cuz of the fact that this resto was under the same banner as Fishman Clubhouse. Fishman Clubhouse has the best sns pork. The shell just shatters like glass on their sns pork (and it's a seafood resto rather than a canto resto!). I figured it would be the same here but unfortunately, it's not same level as Fishman's. Still good but just didn't wow me.Fried rice: The fried rice had good flavour. It was a lil uncoventional because I don't remember lobster tomalley fried rice having peas in it. The peas were kinda weird but it had good 'wok hay'.Snow pea leaves w/ goji berries in broth: Excellent pea shoots! Not oily at all.Coconut and yuzu jelly pudding: Dessert was meh. It was complimentary ofc but I'd much rather have the walnut or black sesame soup they used to serve over at Fishman Clubhouse.P.S. We managed to conquer the whole lobster mountain but not all the fries. I reckon there was at least 4 lbs (or more) of fries at the bottom of the tower (it could've been a food challenge on its own seriously). Keep in mind they create the layers of the meat mountain w/ fries as "glue" in between. We asked for takeout boxes and were able to fill like 7-8 FULL boxes of fries and garlic chips leftover.

Good place if you want dim sum and lobster at the same time. Lobster is the signature dish and it comes with fries. Dim sum is not as good as the other “Dim sum Specialty” restaurant but I think it’s decent enough as side dishes. Service is better than average Chinese restaurants. Dining area is quite big and can get really busy during peak hours.

Soggy and greasy lobster/crab noodles, fried lobster with the crunch soaking up all the disgusting grease, dim sum are below par, service was unprofessional – nearly dropped a sharp knife onto my toe, chase me down to pay the bill first and it’s been less than 90 minutes (there was no waiting at the door), plates were large but just the plate itself, portions were not.

Called to ask about reservation for 2 tables and options for combo meals, the person asked me to look at the menu online without explaining anything, and told me she has another call coming in. Needs to seriously improve customer service here.

They charge $2.5 for tea per person and a compulsory 12% tips. Unfortunately the tea was of low quality. Not a good deal.

Walked in and ready to put a deposit down for a party of 4 tables and the lady worker at the desk says they do parties of maximum 2 tables. She wasn’t too interested to help and seemed to be rushed even when there were no other customers around. This restaurant doesn’t host parties of 3 or more tables which is fine because I’ll be glad to do business with another restaurant. However, if the restaurant policy is not a maximum of 2 tables per party then I would fire this worker immediately for losing out on business.
