Came for dinner during their 50% off Sweet Potato Katsu promotion.First off, the owner needs to better staff the restaurant especially during a promotion.This one poor girl was running back and forth delivering food, doing cash, seating people, cleaning tables and all.I didn't get my food till 45 mins after I was sat. A lot of other patrons like me tried to get service.The server was sweet, she just needs more help in the restaurant.Not sure if the other server was supposed...
First time trying at Katsuya and I can’t wait to return. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh and great flavours. Service was really good here, friendly and attentive. The washroom was clean and well kept. Great experience!
I first tried Katsuya at this Markham location. They specialize in Japanese tonkatsu: deep-fried breaded pork loin accompanied by house sauce, coleslaw & rice.Garlic chili katsu, added sweetness & garlic chips to the relatively bland crispy pork loin cuts. Other sauce options include curry, carbonara, and a house sauces made from a blend of many fruits & vegetables.
