Just like the previous occasion, Koke Teppanyaki did not disappoint. Food was good, service was good with excellent atmosphere. And just as we were finishing the last two or three courses, old friends were booked next to us! Matt's friend from elementary school! Cheers!

Fun place to come with a big group but also nice for an intimate night out. They have ala carte and ayce options and a teppanyaki section. Meat selections are high quality. You can choose from a couple of ayce sets according to your budget which is good. Our server was very very good. Friendly and super helpful. And if you bring cash, you get a discount!

My first visit to Koko Teppanyaki left me a mixed impression as to the food quality, services and atmosphere. While it gave us an impeccable experience with their service attentiveness, prompt delivery and impressive chef's skill performance, we were a bit disappointed with the raw beef freshness which seemed to me is below the standard quality of meat.
However we were delighted that a Wednesday under advertised 20% cash discount were disclosed to us at the cashier counter.

It was a good teppanyaki in York. The entertainment was awesome and food was so fresh. The prices were very reasonable.
Really good Teppanyaki and reasonable price for Dinner.

Went to this place based on reviews. Expecting good food and some Teppanyaki entertainment. Food was mediocre at best. Ordered shrimp, steak and chicken. Steak was OK, but tasteless. Sauces did not help either. Chicken was average.
Entertainment was non existent. Chef was bored and would do the standard, prescribed routines. I have seen much much better.
The room was very Smokey. You and your clothes will smell like fried food for hours afterwards.
Waitresses provide good service and that’s the reason for 2*.

I booked a reservation for 2 for the lunch on a Tuesday. We were seated right away and the place was very clean. The staff was friendly, attentive and made our first time dining experience there very comfortable. We got the meat lover’s set and enjoyed the selection available as well as the size of each bite. The reasons I’m giving it a 4 and not a 5 star is the ice cream had the freezer ice chips and some of the meat could’ve been lightly seasoned or marinated. They didn’t have any pickled sides which is a staple in Japanese cuisine. The sauces were ok and they had pink himalayan salt but I lived in Japan and only comparing to the wow factor which I was hoping for. Overall, it was a good experience, reasonably priced so I’ll be back and recommend Koke for sure, with a grain of salt 😉

Great place for Teppanyaki, but also has the options for a la carte. Dinner with a bit of entertainment.
