I agree with the other post (ie. Emily H), service and manners of the workers are poor here.

I had my change given roughly back at me all because I asked for a for a different bill that was not ripped. Some coins ended on the counter one that fell on the floor. My child had to help pick up one of the coin that ended up on the floor. Zero apology was given. Just a stare. When I had asked for another bill I wasn’t rude. I asked nicely - it’s not wrong for me to request for another bill just as merchants have the right to refuse bills from customers that don’t look right.

Having good/kind workers can make it or break it for business. The owners really need to take a closer look at who they have at their store front - that’s assuming that it wasn't the owner that I had my encounter with.

Lack of communication skills is inexcusable in the service industry especially if it's multiple encounters of poor experiences.

We will not be returning due to the lack of respect I was given not just as a customer but even as a human being.

The frozen dim sum are good and suitable for families. Only problem is the staff there are consistently unfriendly and mean. I’ve been there several times and each time is the same, they talk with an attitude for no reason and make the interaction very uncomfortable.

Perfect dim sum for home sweet home. It will be beneficial to make display of warming instructions available on products.

Amazing selection, quality, and convenient! Very pleasantly surprised by this after finding it accidentally (after dim sum). Have come back multiple times for frozen dim sum!

If you're a fan of dim sum or just love discovering hidden gems for high-quality Asian food, Kwan Specialty in Markham is a must-visit.

On entry, the interior is clean and well organized. Their frozen dim sum selection includes har gow, siu mai, dumplings, etc., all handmade. Their ready-to-eat frozen soups and entrees are perfect for busy days.

You can enjoy a proper Chinese tea while browsing. They have a fair selection of loose-leaf teas like pu'erh and jasmine, plus a small bakery section with fresh egg tarts and buns—an absolute treat. Whether you're stocking up your freezer, grabbing a quick meal, or just in the mood for a peaceful tea break, Kwan hits all the right notes.

It is a retail store that you can buy a wide range of different raw dim sum dishes and nice tea leaves. For special days such as Mother's Day, if you want to skip the line at the restaurant, this is a good option for you. Other than dim sum and tea, you can also find chinese desserts, ready to stream dishes that can pair with rice, soup and snacks at the shop. Vegetarian foods are also available.

We love coming to Kwan to stock up on our dim sum fix. Our go-to is their shrimp and pork siu mai ($4.99 for 9 pieces) - great mix of pork and shrimp in the filling, other frozen dim sum places have the pork filling with a shrimp on top, which isn't what I look for in a siu mai. Their molten salted egg yolk buns have an excellent runny consistency when heated up. They have a variety of dim sum dishes that you can choose from. The ladies there are super nice and welcoming. Note that to use their debit/visa machine it's for purchases over $20, bring cash if you plan on buying less items

We walked in thinking there was more ready food available. There wasn't much even though they have a wonderful seating area. Service was ok. Prices for frozen dimsum was ok. There are better places out there.

I know their specialty is frozen dim sum but I don’t come here for that. They have a couple of fresh baked in house items that I come here for and that is their egg tarts and the snow top char siu bao

The egg tarts have got to be in my top 5 spots in Toronto for best egg tarts. The crust is nice and flaky and the egg custard is rich and has a nice strong sweet eggy taste to it. The snow top bun is also a nice little hidden gem. First, because you don’t find many places offering this and second the snow top crust is so nice. Firmness and a nice balanced sweetness to it.

To speak about their dim sum. Lots of freezers, lots of frozen items that there’s bound to be something that will catch everyone’s eye. I do think they are pricier than other frozen dim sum spots but they have a great variety.

Service I have heard can be hit or miss, but I feel like I got really amazing service. Enthusiastic about the egg tarts and also promoting that the snow top buns just came out of the oven, so recommended I try it since it’s fresh.

Parking lot can fill up quickly since there’s a popular dim sum spot right on the corner and the Costco is on a connected parking lot as well. But would totally recommend those two fresh items as they are really good

Great job overall

Great Selection of Frozen Dim Sum & Dine-In Option!

This is a fantastic spot for high-quality frozen dim sum! The store is spacious, clean, and well-organized, making it easy to browse their large selection. They offer a great variety, from classic dumplings and buns to more unique options, all at reasonable prices.

One of the best parts is that you can also order and eat inside, which is a nice touch if you want to try something fresh before buying in bulk. The food is tasty, and the overall experience is convenient and enjoyable. Definitely a go-to place for dim sum lovers!

Good frozen dimsum at a very affordable price. Salted egg buns and steamed bean curd rolls with pork were my favorite. Very recommended

I placed an order for the Lunar New Year dish over the phone earlier this week. When I got there, Cindy at first could not find my order information and she told me that she would not be able to give me the foods I ordered (I had not yet paid for my order and I thought I could buy foods from somewhere else) because other customers would need their dinner for today (for Lunar New Year)! At last, she found my order.

Cindy did a great job and she was trying to ensure the customers would get their dinners (probably to celebrate the Lunar New Year with friends and/or family) for tonight.

The dish was delicious too!

Quality of product is ok, don't be fooled by the $5 coupon, lots of unspoken exceptions not written nor explained when u pay. If you want repeat customers, don't put so many exceptions. Just let them use the coupon then they will come back.
