First time back in dine-in, plus now under new management.
Their reowned curry's is different now, still good.

Will try their dinner set to see how much more different.

Update 2025
Service is getting bad now, and food quality is not even worth to drive here!
Many good restaurants at New Kennedy Square!
If they cannot keep up the quality, should not keep the reowned restaurant name!

The ownership changed around May/June last year and the food tasted horrible during the transition period. My favorite dish of runny egg white with shrimp flat noodle turned out well done solid egg yolk, which was the worst place I've been for such a common menu at any Cantonese restaurant.

I decided to give them one more chance and went there few months later, and they did improve the food quality, which made the taste consistent with the previous owner..

My next 3 visits there were positive as they made a few more changes, e.g. slight price hike, higher quality take-out container, introduced new menu such as hot pot targeted for dine-in. Yes, they re-opened dine-in area with less table but more spacious area since the previous owner closed it during covid. I do appreciate the option for dine-in so it is a good news to me.

For long time customers, you should give them a second chance to support local restaurant.

food is not tender, the owner takes off 10per cent tips before specifying, the waitress has lots of liver fire and just impolite.

Really sad that the best spaghetti bolognese in town is gone since this restaurant is under new management. The milk tea is still good since the front staff who brew the tea is the same. The salted fish fried rice and Singapore noodles were also not great. They also removed the afternoon tea menu.

This place is not the same anymore after the new owner took over. The curry is not as good as before. I gave them a second chance tonight, but the quality is a sad food court’s quality; probably won’t come back.

Very disappointing experience. ordered two dishes for takeout and had to wait an entire hour to get my food. No updates or apologies during the wait. The food wasn’t worth the frustration. I won’t be coming back.”

Update October 4, 2024
as in many other recent reviews, the food quality declined in this visit. It was still good 4 months ago. Probably a change of owner or chef. We might give it another try after some time. Hopefully it is just temporary. I liked this restaurant and hate to shop around.

We have been visiting this restaurant since 2016 and it was our favourite take out place. However, as with all the other recent reviews have mentioned, there has been a ownership change. And this has led to huge disappointment to the flavour and the quality of the dishes being served. For instance, we ordered our favourite Hakka chili chicken and the deep fried garlic pork chop. There was quite a lot to be desired for these 2 dishes that we have ordered many times over the years. The chili chicken was over cooked and it was so dry that chewing through it, was just impossible. The garlic pork chop was also not cooked to what we are used to. The garlic was burnt to the point that it tasted bitter, and the pieces of pork chops served was full of fat and bones. It looked like they went out of their way to carve out the extra meat and to serve their customers just bones and fatty pieces. The fact is that if my 9 year old child can discern the change of flavour or should I mention the lack of it, it just goes to show how our recent entire take out experience has been a huge let down. Even though, their prices are cheaper than all the other Chinese take outs in the area, we will not be a returning customer.

Yup confirming what everyone has been saying recently...there's an ownership change so I definitely agree the food quality has decreased but overall still acceptable if you want something quick and affordable.
