Stopped in at Main Street Greek in Markham and it did not disappoint. I tried the Loukaniko soup, chicken souvlaki on a pita, saganaki, and the chicken souvlaki dinner — everything was fresh, flavourful, and authentically Greek.
The restaurant is very clean and modern, with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and the service is genuinely friendly.
If you’re looking for great Greek food in Markham, this spot is absolutely worth the visit. Highly recommend! 🇬🇷✨
I walked in for lunch and placed my order with the cashier at the entrance. The cashier never asked whether I wanted my meal for dine-in or to-go, so I assumed this was simply how the restaurant operated, especially since there was no host, no seating system, and the cashier was positioned right at the entrance. I paid in full and was told it would be about fifteen minutes, so I sat down to wait.
A waitress later approached me and asked if I had ordered. I said yes. She then told me my order was marked “to-go” and that I had to take it and could not eat in the restaurant. Even after I made it clear that I wanted to dine in, I still wasn’t given the option to change the order. That was the most frustrating part.
The way this was handled felt rude, inconsiderate, and unprofessional—especially in a business where customer service should be a priority.

Very good traditional dishes with more than just wraps. Dips and calamari are great with a Horiatiki with chicken.

Relatively small dining area, great for small gatherings. Absolutely massive portions and our food was served promptly. Chicken gyros dinner was filling and served with a generous amount of chicken. Greek fries were a great appetizer, although they were a tad bit dry. Nonetheless, an excellent location for Greek food.

Came here after recommendations from a stranger at the Wholefoods parking lot near Birchmount & HWY 7 and the food did not disappoint. The lamb chops were superb, the salad super fresh and the garlic bread delicious as well. The moussaka was a bit different from what I expected, but not bad. Will definitely come back to try other items on the menu.
Gyros chicken well marinated and not dry. Steak sandwich was flavourful with tasty fries on the side. Savoury OPPA cheese on hot plate paired with Garlic Bread 🥖 make it a fantastic meal. Thanks for your meal 🍽️

We went there for the first time after seen so many good reviews. The place was full at it was Mother’s Day and I didn’t had reservations to be honest. They were kind enough to accommodate my party of 6 people and were so kind during the entire experience. The food is amazing! Tasty, fresh, the entrees were spectacular!!! Shame I didn’t even had time to take a picture, we devoured so fast as it was delicious! Humus was really good, their pita also. Potato’s were fresh and tender, didn’t had that normal taste of precooked. The owners are amazing people. It was a bit smoky inside, but nothing to ruin our experience. The kids loved the food too, so extra points for that! Restaurant is well decorated, and beautiful. Thank you for the amazing overall experience!
Editing: we went back June 1st. Food still spetacular! But able to get pics of the entrees this time!! Vegetarian maze worths every penny! The flambeed cheese is so tasty! Adding more Photos 😀

Had to get a meal catered for 18 people with less than 24-hour notice and Main Street Greek came in clutch!
When I called they were able to walk me through what I should order based on the groups preferences, which was no easy task. We needed the food no later than a half hour after they opened the restaurant for a meeting and they were able to accommodate to meet our request.
We picked up the order the next day —everything was fresh and on time. The food received high reviews from everyone and the portion sizes for what we paid were very generous.
Overall the flexibility, service, and food quality was top notch. Would highly recommend this spot for anyone needing catering or a place to grab a nice meal!
