Nice basic bar with very reasonable prices and friendly, attentive staff. They have a small street-side patio with plenty of umbrellas for shade too.

Found this place by luck as it was only place open on a late sunday. Now its our go to beer place . Amazing fresh cut fries and cold beer. This is completely honest and bias free. Its an amazing place to be

VERY OLD restaurant if that’s what you’re looking for. I live a hour away and would go there to have dinner with friends when there’s a live band (usually Friday evening in summer). However, the service is the ABSOLUTE WORST when the band is present. Never enough servers and the ones there are running ragged trying to service patrons. During my last recent visit (band on site), our group actually had to go inside to the bar to get a drink. Furthermore, the arm rest of the (old plastic) chair I sat on snapped off and was not replaced even after I brought it to the attention of 2 (passing by) servers. Also you’d better have good balance to meander the steep stairs to get to the much needed improvement washroom. I left an hour and 15 minutes after NOT ONE SERVER came to our table. My last visit was just that - my last. I will never go there again !!!!

Awful service. It took them about an hour to bring us our food. When I tried to open the ketchup bottle, the lid was full of rain water from two nights ago, and it poured into my dish. I had to leave half of my breakfast uneaten because of it. Very disappointing experience.

We had a really enjoyable experience here at Mains Mansion. Our server Anna was attentive to our every need. Their Mains lager is fantastic 🤩🤩. The food was outstanding.

We just left this location for a late Father’s Day dinner. We arrived twenty minutes before the kitchen closes and I was super hesitant. We were met with the most amazing host. She then seated us and provided my toddler who was up way past her bedtime with crayons and colouring! We were seated with Matt and Alison who just made our nights. They were kind, paid attention to detail, and just made the experience absolutely lovely. I’m so grateful for the whole experience and would 10/10 recommend! Thank you guys for making this Father’s Day a memorable one.

We're from out of town, went for brunch on Saturday morning with my partner. We sat by the windows (the nicest spot in the place) and had a huge breakfast. The server Ann was wonderful, so friendly and gave good recommendations, it was busy when we went so we recommend making a reservation.
The food was very good value for the size, lots of fresh fruit. The service was great, food came out fast, and we had a lovely view. Will visit this place again if we're back in town.
Came in for Brunch & wow! So delicious, amazing service & efficient. Quaint patio, traditional English Pub atmosphere. Brunch was plentiful & great serving size with a ton of fresh fruit. A Must try!

Really wanted to try this spot but will never go now that we've had the worse experience trying to book a table. Mid April I called in the middle of the day to see if we could reserve a table for mothers day. The staff member told me they could not take the reservation over the phone and that I would need to fill out their contact us card online to book but they had room and they will confirm within a few hours. So went online and submitted a request. No answer. So after 3 days I tried the contact us option again. No answer. It's been 2 week waiting and no answer. So disappointing If there was no room tell us so we can book elsewhere. Have some common courtesy.

Bad food, please don’t waste money on the ceased salad! They poured the bottle of dollar store Kraft ceaser seasoning and there was no flavor or cheese or anything that a ceaser salad should have! I fell really sick immediately after having that. My sister ordered a pesto chicken sandwich, there was no pesto in it at all…service was bad. We went during a karaoke at night, it’s a small place, the sound was extremely loud and uncomfortable. Not going back, do not recommend

My partner and I came after midnight - and the food was great! Service was even better, Nigel was the best, he recommended a light beer and the club sandwich which was tasty.
