The beef brisket rice with grape juice is so juicy, the brisket is juicy, and the potatoes are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside ???
The biggest surprise of Hainanese chicken is that it has two portions of scallion oil ???

We came here during the weekend and the restaurant was packed but we got seated right away for a table for 2.
Service was very quick, staff were attentive and friendly.
We ordered the baked portuguese rice with chicken and pork chop with black pepper sauce with rice for lunch. They are pretty generous with the portions! We left feeling full & happy with plenty of leftovers!

Imagine, this spot is actually an HK cafe despite the Japanese name and Korean house title! I’d been meaning to visit since hearing about it a few years back and finally had the chance to today. There was a bit of wait at the weekend lunch rush.
The menu is slightly more expensive for standard HK cafe fare. We had the Satay Beef & Vermicelli in Soup that was savory with Egg Sandwich that was a bit bland. We also had a larger bowl of Preserved Vegetable & Pork w/ Vermicelli Soup & Egg.
Our hunger was satisfied after a day at the park nearby. The interior showed some of its age. They seem to be one of the go-to HK cafe in the neighborhood judging by the packed crowd. The lunch specials came with milk tea that was well-steeped.

The lunch soup is full of ingredients. When the curry beef brisket rice was served, I thought it was Hong Kong-style rice noodles, but it was actually a thin sauce with a base that resembled foam on the top layer, and it tasted okay. Beef brisket, not much portion. The white rice has distinct grains and is suitable for heavy sauce. The onions and green peppers as side dishes were only half cooked, and the potatoes were not tender.
Milk tea is ok, next time I’ll try the red bean smoothie.
Haven't been here in a long time as we didn't have a good experience the first time we came (which was 4+ years ago). Whatever they did to change, definitely for the better. Food portions are very good. Came here with my family of 4 and this is what we ordered:
1. Hainanese Chicken with rice
2. Baked Portuguese Chicken on rice
3. Baked Pork chop on rice (2 big pork chops)
4. Fried Vermicelli Home Style
Each meal came with a soup and drink. Even a soy milk option, which my kids enjoyed. My son who is a teenager, who loves Hainanese Chicken, gave this a pretty good rating. He also finished it all, hence no leftovers, but only because it was so good. The only reason we have leftovers, was that we were full, not that we didn't like the food. Definitely coming back to try other dishes.

Great food, incredible value...and let's be honest no one goes to an HK Cafe for the service...but the folks here get the job done and can turn over tables quickly

Boneless Hainanese chicken, disappointing. Secondly, he is not too mature and is disappointed in disappointment.
