We ate here on the weekend. While the quality of Sashimi was fresh and of high quality, they ruin the Sashimi platters with pieces of Escolar aka "White Tuna (Google it). I have never had this reaction from Salmon or real Tuna, I have been in the bathroom for 3 days with on-going stomach nausea. Don't order Sashimi platters from restaurants that fill-out their platters with this garbage, by-catch ingredient. It ruined my experience of an expensive, otherwise delicious meal.

I tried the original location in Richmond Hill many times in the past, and the food was decent. This location, however, could have been one of the worst sushi and sashimi I ever ate. The fish smelled and tasted old, and I literally threw away $60 worth of sushi. Save your money and find another place lots of good restaurants in markham. Never will eat at this establishment again.

The food came in under 10 minutes. Service was Amazing. Very calm atmosphere. It's a shame they they don't get the popularity that they deserve, and gave us free sushi AND DESERT for a very minor inconvenience.

The food here used to be good, but not anymore. I got takeout recently and the fish sashimi was not fresh, old, and was bland. The california roll is still good though.
Visited about 5 :30 pm during weekends, without call booking for the seat, so not too bad as still not busy dinner time. Warm green tea, hope they provided hot tea in the future. Food as usual, tasted ok, no complaints. Service is ok, not outstanding.

For me, it’s very disappointing when a restaurant you really liked goes downhill.
We had a large assortment of sushi and sashimi, with some sushi rolls. Normally chefs are supposed to keep the fish on ice to keep it fresh. Yet, some of the fish seemed warm, which isn’t a good sign. Before I finished eating, my stomach was feeling a bit weird. When I got home, I had the runs so it wasn’t pleasant at all. I’ve had this happen at a few AYCE places, because the fish isn’t very good, but I didn’t expect this here. The miso soup was hot, but that’s all I can say…NO tofu; NO green onions or enoki mushrooms, very little seaweed and the broth wasn’t rich tasting…very disappointing. Before they’d served some fruit after dinner, but they cut this out, which is unfortunate. I guess there are new owners because before there were always women servers dressed in Japanese attire, but now it seems like there are mainly men serving the food. The staff was very friendly and nice, but it wasn’t as good as in the past. Very disappointing…we won’t be going again, even though we’ve been regular customers for over 10 years. Not worth it.

Portions of fish are massive in the rolls. The service is so quick and so friendly and really great ambience for a date night or quick casual bite to eat. Would definitely come back here!
Sushi test was one of the good experiences. Ambiance was 3/4 Service was OK. However, it's a pricy restaurant and overall experience doesn't justify the price.
