Miss Lean Café is a cute and quiet spot tucked away in Markham. It’s not the kind of place you stumble on by chance. You have to know it’s there. But once you find it, it’s a pleasant surprise. The space feels calm and peaceful, with a charming countryside China aesthetic. It’s relaxing, airy, and has a soft atmosphere that makes you want to take your time.

The vibe is definitely Asian and specifically Chinese, but not in an overwhelming way. It gives off the feeling of a slow, fresh morning in a village setting. Very simple, very nice.

The ordering process is digital. You scan a QR code at your table, place your order on your phone, and then the food and drinks are brought to you. It’s all very smooth. The service is fast and polite. Once you’re done, you head to the front to pay at the counter with a very lovely lady who makes the experience even more pleasant.

As for the food, I wouldn’t say it’s outstanding. It’s nice to look at and clearly made with care, but it does lack a bit of depth in flavour. A bit more sweetness or spice in some of the dishes would go a long way. That said, nothing was bad. It’s all fresh and decent. Just not the kind of flavours that linger or surprise you.

The presentation is where Miss Lean really shines. Everything is visually beautiful and very Instagrammable. The desserts especially are colourful and well plated, and the drinks come with nice little touches like a tray and cookies, which add a bit of personality.

Price-wise, it’s fair. Not cheap but not overpriced either. It sits comfortably in the mid-range for cafés of this style.

In short, Miss Lean Café is a lovely spot to relax with pretty food and good service. I wouldn’t necessarily go for bold flavours, but I would definitely return for the vibe and the calm experience.

Had the black sugar matcha late with oat milk, mom had a honeycomb latte with oat milk. We also got the yellow sweet potato fries.

Very relaxed vibe and beautiful desserts.

We got one of the tea sets and a milk dessert. The tea was just tea but the presentation is what you're paying for. The milk dessert tasted good.

This place is good for the vibes but otherwise it's a bit overpriced

Fancy cafe restaurant offering a variety of drinks, desserts and noodles. Food tastes decent, is presented nicely, but is a bit overpriced. They are open late until 11 pm. Aboveground parking can be difficult to find at busy times, but there is free underground parking at this plaza.

I tried recently the Xiao Guo beef Chinese pickle cabbage noodles is very so-so below average. It is not sour and not spicy, I don't know what is this! The broth was just bland flavor and noodles should be served piping hot, not warm. The portions of pickled cabbage and noodles were tiny, and there were hardly any toppings.
The noodles should at least come with some fragrant, no matter it is a beef noodles, should come with spicy minced meat, numbing mala and sourness. It's NOT a Xiao Guo noodles and I honestly think the soup is just boiled water with a few scraps thrown in. It’s not worth $18.50 price tag!

Anyway, the drinks are ok!

It’s a great small place to have a bit of food and desserts. The vibe is nice, lots of parking around (depending on the day) and the staff were the best

Cute space with decent seating availability for a cafe. Menu items are on the pricier side but they have a 5% cash discount and a 10% discount if you dine in and leave within an hour.

You scan a QR code and order with your phone. The cake was interesting to try once but not particularly special, and the “premium tea” included was just a tiny cup.

It’s a very cute place inside. Lots of natural light really aid in the ambiance. We ordered a hot americano, popcorn chicken and two beef noodle soup. Food and drinks are good. The broth for the soup is extremely MSG tasting, which is fine with me but might upset others. Chicken is good and the coffee was surprisingly good.

Would like to rate place higher but service is not good here. First of all it’s just QR code menu and secondly our server with pink hair is not friendly at all and also impossible to get her attention. Can only ask for requests when she brings food and drinks otherwise good luck! If you don’t mind quick bad service then this place should be good for you otherwise avoid.

It’s a beautiful place here. I’ve been here a few times in the past. The food is good, staff are somewhat friendly, the place is beautifully decorated.
Overall, I really liked it.

Update: my most previous experience there was much better.
The food is always good, and the environment is very pretty. I love the atmosphere and the aesthetic.
