Affordable takeout

Grabbed a quick bite, had Curry Beef Brisket with Rice. Food quality is decent with good value. A bit too much sauce and more rice would be good. At that price point though, worth a try.

I have been going to metro square for 25? Years. New fountain has prob been there for 15? This isn't fine dining. My rating is based on value. I'm not sure where I can get a better fast food beef with bitter melon and black bean sauce on rice for 10$.. I was there with my wife and daughter so I also ordered a Singapore Style and a Cantonese chow main. The Singapore was excellent and the Cantonese was excellent although I like more cuttlefish/squid tube in mine. I will say that up to a couple years ago they still used plates for eat in.. and that was superior because they could fry the noodle base for the Cantonese better (crsiper) because the wok is round and so is the plate. I was a touch disappointed that they has to break up the noodles to fit in the square take out container everything comes in now. However, flavour still good. My bitter Mellon was 100%. Love that stuff!

Food has no flavour and portion size for black pepper beef is not enough for one person at 12.99. Only 5 pieces of meat and a big box of sauce.

My go-to place for curry beef brisket with rice.

Not nearly as bad as the other reviews make it sound, but you are getting what you pay for here. This is a no frills Chinese fast food joint in the Metro Square food court. You can tell from the taped over menu that the prices have been slowly increasing over the years - but they're still quite reasonable. The two of us were able to get a good meal for less than $20. I do think they only accept cash, consistent with the other restaurants in the food court as well.

We ordered one fried noodle dish ($8.85) and wonton & beef brisket with flat noodle in soup ($7.99). They do charge tax so it ended up being $19 flat. Both dishes also came with a beverage, and I think soy milk is the only cold one without an additional upcharge so we both ordered that. The fried noodles were a great portion - the taste was pretty average. The main flavour is salt! For the soup noodles, it was actually pretty good - they gave 3 large pork and shrimp wontons, and a couple pieces of beef which were tasty and well marinated. I will say that the noodles themselves lacked any real flavour, but such is the case with most rice noodles. I'd definitely get it again for the price.

Overall it's simple and fast, don't expect anything mind-blowing.

Very bad quality food. Ordered ham and chicken white sauce on rice. Didn't taste like anything, just a salty rue, it only tasted of salt. The chicken had no flavor either. Would not come again.

The worse chinese food i ever had in Canada. I ordered black bean sauce beef with rice noodle. The taste of the sauce is weird and totally not the traditional black bean sauce and its red in color. The whole dish taste disgusting and i wanna puke now.

No coins are accepted here, only banknotes. I asked her why, and she said there was no reason, she just wouldn't accept it.

I ordered Chinese-style beef tenderloin rice, and there were only 7 pieces of beef tenderloin. Never look back next time.

I ordered 4 dinner dishes combo, and a baked minced beef spaghetti. I can say I never ate any food dishes like these kind of quality in past 10 years. Not just only one taste like Im eating takeout at an Indian restaurant. None of any ordered dishes was good. Aweful taste... will never come back. And price is not cheap. Foodcourt style charges $12.99 a dish including tax.No one in my family enjoy tonight's dinner.
