I've been to so many Vietnamese restaurants in Markham, and this is my favorite one. A lot of other Vietnamese places use quite a bit of MSG, but this one, I can tell there's none, or maybe just a very minimal amount. My mouth never gets dry after eating at Pho Mi 88 in Markham. My family has been coming here for years, my kids were toddlers back then, and now they're going to university, and we’re still coming here for their delicious Vietnamese noodles.

The server was super kind and attentive! Even though she was taking care of the whole floor by herself, she made sure all the customers’ needs were met. The food portions were generous, with plenty of fresh ingredients, and we always had leftovers to take home. My parents and I were very happy with both the service and the food! 👍🏼

Best Satay beef pho.

Only area of improvement would be extending your hours of operation because closing at 4 is crazy.

Every time I come here I keep forgetting to take pics cuz I just end up digging in right away. The people here barely speak English which only adds to the authenticity and three flavor is spot on. Not to clean but also not to heavy. Despite being of thin figure, I always finish the large soup and all. Will try to take pic next time.

Big portion, price is low. Perfect for big appetite. Soup base is reasonably good. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Curry beef brisket is rich in flavour. Reasonable amount of bean sprouts

I liked my pho - broth is on the sweet side, great portions. I liked how I could customize my pho with up to 3 toppings. I didn't like the spring rolls because there were yellow beans in them.

Be warned though...I got really thirsty after.

If you’re in the mood for some authentic Vietnamese cuisine, look no further than 88 Pho! This gem has quickly become one of my favorite spots to satisfy my cravings for pho and other delicious dishes.

From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere, complete with charming decor that transports you straight to Vietnam. The staff at 88 Pho are incredibly friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home. They’re always happy to offer recommendations if you’re not sure what to order, which is especially helpful for those new to Vietnamese cuisine.

Now, let’s talk about the star of the show: the pho! The broth is rich, aromatic, and packed with flavor—truly a bowl of comfort. I ordered the classic beef pho, and the tender slices of meat paired perfectly with the fresh herbs and rice noodles. Each bite was a delightful experience, and I found myself savoring every spoonful. The portion sizes are generous, ensuring you leave satisfied.

Beyond pho, I also tried their spring rolls, which were crispy on the outside and bursting with flavor on the inside. Dipped in their house-made peanut sauce, they were the perfect start to an already fantastic meal.

The prices at 88 Pho are very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and the generous portions. It’s a great value for a meal that feels both comforting and indulgent.

In summary, 88 Pho is a must-visit for anyone who loves authentic Vietnamese food or is simply looking to try something new. With its delicious offerings, welcoming atmosphere, and attentive service, this restaurant has certainly earned my five-star rating. I can’t wait to go back and explore more of their menu!

We ordered a large pho with beef balls, sliced beef, and brisket. Honestly, a medium size would have been more than enough for two — the large portion was way too much and ended up being a waste.
The beef balls were definitely my favorite: tender, flavorful, and satisfying. The brisket, however, I wouldn’t recommend.
The broth was ultra-rich, almost too fresh and sweet for my liking. As for the spring rolls, they were just okay but at least a bit unique.

The best part is that they accept credit cards without adding an extra charge — a rare find among many restaurants up north(Which is one of the reasons we’re usually not big fans of eating up north.)

The Hue Soup is the absolute best, a go-to everytime I go here. Owner is so nice; I left my charger here for a month and she recognised me and kept it the entire time! Price is also amazing for the large portions of food. Delicious
