We were extremely pleased with the Chinese catering from Rovey at our wedding! The food was simply delicious, and we had very nice compliments for both the standard and vegetarian menus!

The food tasted exactly like the tasting, and Harvey gave us incredible advice & tips that really helped us organize our venue and schedule. He also did so much behind the scenes to make the event and various courses run super smoothly. The wait staff were professional and courteous, while the bartenders were hardworking, efficient and just super fun to be around.

At first, my wife and I weren’t quite sure which type of catering to do for our event (Chinese or standard wedding food with the venue), but after having heard all the feedback from our guests and parents – we were so glad we went with Rovey.

Food was delicious. ...Service was great. .. like many other reviewers have already mentioned in their reviews.I wanted to add that :1). The food tasted authentic...that is no or very little salt and MSG was used. I didn't get thirty after the banquet. That's so rare in any restaurants. The chefs must be very skilled and confident. Well done.2) Abalone Wellington was an very bold attempt by the chefs. While the Abalone wasn't tender as it should be , I must say I was wowed by this dish.3). The service ranked 2nd on my all time list of Chinese Restaurants. My tea cup was topped up with warm/hot tea most of the time. I didn't get the server's name, but we were at Table 8 - on March 17, 2024 - Hilton Markham (Warden & Hwy 7) .

Harvey and team catered our wedding in early July and their service was impeccable. As food was a priority for our wedding, we found Harvey through a recommendation from a friend and reached out. He was very helpful in suggesting a venue, we toured a few venues and ended up going with the Hilton in Markham (which we also highly recommend). Since the Rovey team was based in the Hilton, this enhanced our wedding experience. From doing menu tasting to serving the head table, the entire Rovey team was extremely professional and experienced. They let us try out the menu and make any substitutions we needed. Everyone at the wedding loved the food, including the vegetarian option. Harvey was very accommodating and knowledgable regarding the food and the traditions related to it. Highly recommend Harvey and the Rovey team for your next catering event!

I had my wedding at the Hilton on June 24, 2023, where Rovey catered for our dinner. Many guests gave high praises for the food, with some saying it was the best chinese food they ever had. People really liked that the food came out very hot and there was not too much time between courses. It was also nice that my Caucasian guests did not have to see fish/pig head at the table, as that is something they might not be used to. Many of my Chinese guests loved the deep fried crab claw. Nowadays most places either cut the size of the crab claws or mix the filling with other meat to reduce costs, but Rovey did not do this and kept the taste/ingredients authentic.There was one unfortunate incident at a table, where there was a mix-up between Rovey and Hilton. A chinese meal was given to a child and my adult relative was given the kids meal somehow, even though they were sitting at the correct spots at the table with name tags. When my relatives tried pointing out the error, the waiters told them they were causing trouble. I wish the servers double-checked to make sure everything is right before making such a claim (especially since I noted in advance the names of people that are receiving alternative menus). It later turned out that there was a mix up. Harvey (Rovey Manager) came and resolved the issue which I appreciated. Overall, this was just one mistake and I can understand how mix-ups can occur. The rest of the service was excellent and everyone had a great time. There were many details for Rovey to keep track of (allergies, etc), our request to have the chicken less salty, etc. and Rovey executed all them of perfectly.I certainly hope that my relatives will consider using Rovey in the future because I would love to eat their food again!

We had the pleasure of having Rovey as our catering at The Avenue Banquet Hall for our wedding. We received a lot of compliments in regards to the food and we cannot thank them enough for such an experience. For those looking to have Chinese catering for their upcoming event, you're in good hands if Rovey is catering.

Absolute yum for our wedding at the guild ?

Rovery catered for our wedding reception of approx. 220 guests at the Guild Inn Estates. The food was flavorful, served hot, and tasted delicious. All of our guests raved about how good the food was, and for elderly Asian aunties and uncles, this was impressive as they are typically very picky with the quality of Chinese food.Not only was the food great, but Harvey was very responsive and helpful during the two years of planning - especially during the month prior to. He and his team were extremely professional and went above and beyond what I expected from external caterers. He and his team were more involved, detailed and meticulous about our wedding details than the details manager the venue assigned us.I 100% recommend to our families and friends.

We had Rovey cater our wedding reception at Angus Glen and they definitely did not disappoint. One of the highlights of our wedding was definitely the food and service from Rovey - all of our guests couldn’t get over the quality of the food and that the service was amazing. All of the servers were kind, attentive, and professional. The food came out on time and was always hot. I highly, highly recommend Rovey for any event that requires catering.

I had booked with Harvey and Roger back in 2019 for a 2020 wedding, but of course the wedding did not happen until May of 2022. This gave me the opportunity to really experience the professionalism Harvey and Roger had to offer.I had a western style wedding with 250 guests and catered Chinese food to the venue. Right from the first meeting we had to tasting day they already gave us invaluable advice and tips on various aspects of the wedding that was completely unrelated to the food. Just to name a few details: linen count, floor plan, hot water for tea ceremony, reminding us on how many cups we need for tea ceremony, details for table toasting). We had a wedding planner, yet Harvey and Roger noticed details that even the she missed.The pros:- For the 3 years that we had to be in communication with them, they were always responsive to phone calls and emails- EXTREMELY accommodating in our ever-changing wedding date (we changed dates 4 times)- Food was extremely well cooked and HOT on wedding day. With 250 guests I did not expect that every table would get the same quality of food – but every single guest said the food was hot.- The bartenders and staff that they brought to the venue was kind and friendly- They stayed all the way till the end of the night to assist in cleaning up and wrapping up the venue- Assisted my wedding planner in the room flip to ensure that all plates and eating utensils were set up properly and timely- I would receive emails from them with 10+ items to do which shows the amount of attention to detail and how they are SO on top of thingsThere are truly no cons. Planning a wedding during the height of covid has been so stressful, but I can’t thank Harvey and Roger enough as they were the best and most stress-free vendor I had.

Harvey and Roger catered my wedding and they were a pleasure to work with. They provided us with a lot of helpful wedding tips during the food tasting. The food did not disappoint at the food tasting or the wedding. Highly recommend!

We had chosen Rovey Catering for our wedding as we wanted to combine having a Western venue along with a traditional Chinese banquet dinner, and was blown away by Harvey and Rovey's team. The level of service, professionalism, and attention to detail by the staff (especially dietary restrictions and coordinating with other vendors) was top notch. Rovey was very accommodating and flexible to our menu changes to suit our needs. All of our guests were complimenting both the quality and quantity of food. We had an unforgettable night and Rovey was a pillar in making that happen. Special shoutout to Harvey for the patience and support throughout all the stressful pandemic changes that had to take place! We can't recommend Rovey Catering enough.

We had Rovey Catering as our wedding reception caterer and the food was absolutely delicious! Harvey and Roger have been really pleasant to work with. We really enjoyed the food and everyone we asked had only really good things to say about the food and experience.Both Harvey and Roger also took care of us every step of the way from beginning to end. Harvey and Roger as well as their team did a fantastic job on our wedding day. The food was fresh and tasty as expected. They were really flexible to our adjustment (replacing the shark fin soup, having other options for the size of the roasted pig…). Our guests loved the food. Many of our non-Asian guests were amaze and hear numerous compliments.In addition, Rovey's servers were friendly and courteous. We were really satisfied with their food and service.We highly recommend Rovey Catering!!!
