Ruth's Chris Steak House

Overall the food and service is great, but really need to highlight that the value for money is becoming a bit questionable. $420 for a steak dinner for 2 people is just getting to be too high.

We go there all the time every time the experience is A+. This is the first time that we had a really bad experience because of our server. We had a new server serving us and knowingly incorrectly charges us Bibek or Bivek his name, when i even pointed out to him, still had to come back three times to get it right. Made it really an unpleasant experience after dinner. Regardless I still left a tip which I felt he didn't deserve, but other people also helped with our table so I wasn't sure if it was shared and don't want to put the blame on your other staff. This place always treats us well except for this time and only because of the service and the server. Food and ambience and other staff are always great as usual

The food was surprisingly decent overall. The seafood tower was good, not necessarily a must order, but a nice option if you want something a little more special than the usual appetizers. The tomahawk steak was cooked well, slightly under seasoned, but not enough to take away from the dish. We also ordered classic sides like fries and asparagus, and both were solid.

The highlight for me was definitely the apple crumble. The portion was huge, and honestly all the portions were generous, but I was especially glad the crumble was so big because it was absolutely delicious. It was served warm with vanilla ice cream, and the balance between the tart apples and the sweetness of the ice cream was perfect. I am still thinking about it days later!

I booked a reservation here two days ago. After booking my reservation, I did a follow up to make sure everything was good prior to us coming into our dinner reservation this evening.

When arriving I was told we were gonna have to wait 15 minutes as we were about 10 minutes early to our reservation. Said no problem went inside at the bar as instructed had a drink. I was waiting to be seated at our table. 30 minutes goes by I go back up to the front of the bar And ask when are we gonna be seated for our Table?

Front ad mistakenly sat down another group at our booth that I pre-booked two days in advance I promise to get me another booth and remain sitting at the bar Waited another 20 minutes to be taken to a different room to be seated at a table surrounded by 50 different couples. I specifically requested a booth. Totally at this point unsatisfied with the service and sure disrespect for having properly booked everything well in advance to avoid all of these issues that happened. My partner and I decided. To just sit at the bar and have our dinner.

Thankfully, the bartender/waitress was absolutely amazing and she made up for the evening significantly. The food was really good. The service at the bar minus everything else was also pretty good.

Considering everything I would not return given the shoe disrespect I received. Also, considering my bill is $500 plus and that’s the treatment I received definitely would not do Again.

Many other steakhouses that are optional in this area and with the type of money I spend I expected way better quality for what I paid. The only thing that saved the evening was everything of that waitress last bartender that did everything in our power to make us have a better evening.

Horrible service re waiter, waited forever for my drink. Order cowboy ribeye and they burnt it so they cut the cap off an served it, it was shoe leather. Wife has chicken which was good, but saltier than usual. Sides under done, and expensive. Overall Valentine’s Day dinner was not good.

Kimberly was very courteous and highly attentive. The kitchen staff also left no room for mistakes. Great experience for my first time being there especially with my other half. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Screwed up my reservation for a booth put us at the bar, forgot we even had a table reminded 3 x and only stayed cause the bartender saved the evening. Many steakhouses in the city. For spending close to 1000$. I was extremely disappointed.

Unfortunately, this experience was not worth the price. The wait for everything, food, service, and attention was painfully long. By the time our meal arrived, we were already exhausted. We were also uncomfortable where we were seated, which didn't help the experience. Given how expensive it is, I expected much better pacing and service. I decided to have my dessert at the hotel bar outside because I couldn't bare the wait any longer. Overall, overpriced for what we received.

Simply just too pricey and not tasty enough to justify. At that price I expect steak to be melt in your mouth good. It was super lean ribeye and just not great. I have had much better ribeyes for far cheaper than 115$ for 16 ounces.

Sides are extra and are like 20$. The cheapest side is 17$. Appetizers are 31$ cheapest it’s also all pretty salty.

Better off going somewhere local like The School or Peter’s. I believe the Keg is also just better overall than here.

Service was okay but kept trying to push an appetizer and I fell for the sales pitch.

Went to dinner last night for Valentine’s Day. It sat at the bar. Had a great time the service was excellent. Inh/inn helped us. The atmosphere was so great and he was top notch.

Lovely ambience, great service. Food was generally good. My ribeye was perfectly done and delicious. Perhaps a bit overoriced but a nice dinner overall.

The staff was attentive, discreet and very friendly and went well beyond what was expected. Very enjoyable evening!

From booking the reservation until the last guest left - the staff at the Markham Ruth's Chris took such great care of us. We felt welcomed upon arrival - treated like the kings and queen's we like to think we are ... the signature drinks were tasty - the sweet potatoe casserole will live rent free in my heart - and as per usual the steak was cooked to perfection.
We mentioned that it was for a Christmas Dinner (at the end of Jan) but your staff tried to give us the ambiance of Christmas by putting on the fireplace channel to convey the warmth of the season.

I did enjoy my time however I was not blown away and that is why I’ve given 3/5 stars. Service was great and service was prompt and helpful. This location is connected to the Marriott.

Celebrated our anniversary here, the food along with the service made it a great night…special shout out to our server who ran outside in the freezing cold to give us our leftover food that we forgot, thank you!!
