Ruth's Chris Steak House

Arguably the best steak I've ever had in my life. And I’ve been to several upscale steakhouses where the bill was bigger than my bi-weekly paycheque for a party of 4 (fortunately, I didn’t have to foot the bill).

Ruth's is a bit pricier than The Keg, but the quality of the steak justifies the cost.

It was incredibly tender, perfectly seasoned and mouthwatering.

The sides were absolutely delicious too.

We had a business group dinner in a private room.

I order salmon while most a steak. The brought the salmon out before all the other plates and waiting for everyone to get there steak made my salmon overcooked...
Salmon is a delicate flesh compared to meat and should have been brought out last.

Got a giftcard for $275 from my company and I figured this would cover a diner for me and my wife (we both dont drink) but the prices here are crazy. Each steak will cost around $100 and then you need to order sides. I get that its a high end steak restararunt but cmon $425 for two without booze is crazy.. Also I think the food is good but not great there are better options. Also please consider Ruths Chris is an American Chain and by supporting them you are taking away from family owned Canadian restraunts. Save your money eat somewhere else and have just as good of a meal for a lot less.

The manager Steven park at this location is fantastic. Always goes above and beyond to make every customer feel appreciated and heard. Would highly recommend the experience at this location

Great service and delicious food all located in a nice shopping village in Markham. Tomahawk was a great dish to share with 2 people and the steak was perfectly cooked! Their hot bread that gets served at the table is also to die for!

Our recent experience was extremely disappointing, especially in how the situation was handled by the manager during the Rogers internet outage. We were asked to send pictures of our credit cards to be charged later at night. This request involved sharing highly sensitive payment information over insecure channels, which is not only uncomfortable but also goes against the most basic security, privacy, and PCI compliance standards that any reputable business should follow.

Instead of offering a secure alternative or postponing the transaction until systems were restored, the suggestion was to bypass proper safeguards entirely. For a high-value client who values professionalism, trust, and privacy, this approach was completely unacceptable. It not only put our payment information at risk but also showed a worrying lack of awareness about basic data protection obligations under Canadian privacy laws.

The incident was handled poorly from start to finish. There was no proactive communication ahead of time, no contingency plan in place, and no acknowledgment of the serious privacy implications of the request. This left us scrambling to explain the situation to our client — who was not only uncomfortable with the request but ultimately lost confidence in the business altogether.

It ruined the night for everyone involved. What should have been a smooth, professional experience became a frustrating, trust-breaking ordeal. In industries where customer relationships and security are paramount, this type of handling simply isn’t acceptable.

I strongly recommend that management review its emergency procedures, implement secure payment backup systems, and train staff — especially management — on proper privacy and security practices. Customers deserve better protection, better communication, and better planning when things go wrong.

We had a great experience at the Markham location. Was greeted right away with a friendly smile from Sarah who showed us to our table. Our server, Paul T, was extremely attentive and very friendly with us and our young children. He came to check in on us every now and then to make sure everything was alright. The head chef, Steve Park, came to our table and made some great recommendations. The food was fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed everything we ate. The service from all the staff was top notch. Highly recommend!

I totally loved the service at this branch. Bill was very warm, his guidance through the menu was so gentle and patient. He educated us about the available offers and also honored our celebration-my birthday. Definitely recommend! The food is legit!

Our family's favourite steakhouse! The service is always topnotch. Though it's a steakhouse, there are vegetarian and seafood options. The sides are sizeable portions, can be ordered as a la carte for one person or ordered as family style for the table.

My wife and I, its our first time eating in this place. We have a usual steakhouse we eat in on our anniversary, but we decided to give this place a try. This place did not disappoint. Looks like we found a new steakhouse. The Tbone steak was amazing. It melts in my mouth. It reminded me of wagyu I ate when we visited Japan. The filet mignon is also another one that's an amazing choice. Pretty much everything in this place was good. Thanks to our server CHRIS who made things so much more pleasant to eat in Ruth Chris.
