OH MY GOD....Ordered 7 dishes, not a single one is good.... either over fried or over stewed... I mean it is to an extent that I can tell its not good by first bite even when I was really hungry.... you just made my black list for being too much to handle....

This is one of very few Shanghai dishes restaurants in Toronto. Disregard some of the reviews on the internet, we found it to be surprisingly good. The interior is a little bit out of dated, but it gives a feel of old Shanghai which we like. The service is better than we anticipated, efficient and simple, the waitress/ store manager can speak Shanghai dialect, which is a plus. The food we tried is the Egg Braised meatball $21.99 very tender and not too salty, the veggies inside is so yummy, although we never tasted egg inside meatball in Shanghai, we liked it. Stir Fried Pork Liver $18.99 is so good, it is so tender and the source is tasty, must try. Tomato and shrimp crispy rice crust $21.99, it is nice combination of sweet and sour, crispy and soft texture. House special pan fried bun $9.99 is what we aim for, consistently good. Steamed pork bun $9.99 is also very yummy, must order item every time. Overall, it is a very decent Shanghai food restaurant which is worth trying.

I came here specifically to eat the fried eel paste. The Malantou and sweet-scented osmanthus lotus root were unexpected, but I was really disappointed with the scallion noodles and pan-fried noodles.

Food tasted sweet, not my cup of tea. However, the meats and ingredients they use are good quality.

Other reviews are correct. Food is so so, price is definitely on higher side, portion is small.

To be more descriptive:
Xiao long Bao: not bad, 7/10
Fried 0 larger than average
Shanghainese style Fried noodles: 3/10, extremely oily and noodles all broke in smaller pieces.
Drunk Chicken: incredibly small portion and texture is not good. Also very salty.

You can tell the chef really don’t care.

Just because I paid the fee and tip in advance, the waiter kicked me out twice and left without even finishing my water.

Cute decor, great place for families. Service was quick and friendly, but they forgot our lobster. The xlb were great, chicken was tiny, all the other dishes were decent.
