Starving Artist Waffles & Espresso

Went here for my girlfriend’s birthday! She got the strawberry banana waffle (served on a mini waffle) adorable! And I got the traditional Benny with caramelized bacon and house made hollandaise.

Wow awesome place.

The food is good. Service is ridiculously slow. They take forever to get a cup of coffee, then by the time the meal comes, the coffee is finished. You have to wait at least 15-20 minutes for a new cup of coffee. If the milk for the coffee is spoiled and clumpy and you pour it into the coffee, you’re screwed. Food orders take ay least 45 minutes to come. So sad that this place is poorly managed. They add another 18% gratuity for groups larger than six that you have to go up to the cash register and pay. I’m so done with this place. Wish Markham had better breakfast places.

The food and the service was good. The portions were good . The flavours was good . The maple beans was okay not that great . The potato salad was okay . The eggs and sausage were good . The waffles was made good . 7/10

Over priced, having a napkin is a scarce commodity. It nice if you want to spend your money. Food was ok.

Waffle with strawberry was great, and we wanted to get more food until I saw how disgusting the staff that were serving my food were really. I mean it’s something to have an open kitchen, but to constantly touching your mouth, lips, and nose and then serve my food is just abysmal. Hope they fix this because it was waste of our time and we had driven really far for this place.

I've been to other locations ex. Runnemeyde where food was good, portions were bigger.

This location- asked for hot water and it had lots of cloudy floating particles in it

The food portion was small, I was surprised to see the eggs scrambled i expected an omlette

The waitress rushed the order

Overall will visit the runemeyde location next time. This location is not worth the price

The grilled cheese tasted kinda bad and too salty :( the smoothie was okay. All of the items were overpriced 💔

Waffle was undercook and doughy. Service was below par and not warm just like the atmosphere of the location.

I usually get one of the eggs and Benny but decided to try something new and got the chicken sandwich between two waffles. The waffles were so dry and the chicken pieces were those fully cooked ones found in the deli section of a grocery store, not an actual chicken breast. Not worth the price. The waitress got my order wrong but I couldn’t be bothered to correct her. Three stars for the ambiance only and the fact that we were seated and placed our order in a timely manner for a Sunday afternoon.
