My email sent to the District Manager that oversees this location:

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with a recent experience at your restaurant located at 8525 McCowan Road in Markham, Ontario, L3P 5E5 (Store #37409-0) where I visited on May 3, 2024, at approximately 5:50 PM.

Upon placing my order (Order Number: 1A91989E-A9), I specifically requested sandwiches with extra vegetables. Unfortunately, the sandwiches I received did not meet this specification, as they were noticeably lacking in the requested additions. When I reached out to the store to address this issue, the response from the employee I spoke with was not only unhelpful but also quite dismissive that it constituted gaslighting. Despite explaining the situation, the employee I spoke with refused to either remake the items, or to provide a refund if I were to return to the store. I was told that nothing could be done other than adding extra vegetables if I returned to the store. This solution was not practical as I had already returned home.

The manner in which my concerns were handled suggests a lack of proper training and customer service protocols, which is not surprising considering the previous negative reviews for this location. It is essential for Subway, a respected brand, to ensure that customer requests are fulfilled accurately and that any issues are resolved in a professional and courteous manner.

As a result of this experience, and after reflecting on the inadequate response from your staff, I felt compelled to leave this negative review and to share my experience with others. Additionally, I must inform you that as an American Express card holder, I will be initiating a chargeback for this transaction due to the unsatisfactory service and poor product quality.

This incident has also influenced my decision to no longer consider Subway for my future personal and business catering needs. I believe it is crucial for the management team to be aware of this situation, and I would appreciate a discussion with the district manager at his/her earliest convenience to further address these concerns.

Avoid this place like the plague, unless you like to see rotten vegetables in your food, mouse droppings on your table, all the while being gaslit by the female employee who thinks this is India and she can snap back at customers.

I am rating this subway restaurant 5 STAR because the employee was so good and cooperative. When I asked her to change the gloves as I am vegetarian, She smiled and changed it without arguing with me. And she recommended me some good sauces which turned my sandwich test so testyThe atmosphere was so good and the restaurant was clean. I definitely go back to eat. This will be my go-to place for eating

Don’t bother coming here past 9pm. They leave the door unlocked and tell you they are closed even though they are supposed to be open until 10pm. Now reading the reviews of disgusting bugs in drinks and food poisoning I’m glad they were closed!
