I went with my family, and the food they served seemed pre-cooked and not fresh. The food arrived within 5 minutes, and I am wondering how they cooked a rack of ribs so quickly. None of us liked the food.

During our recent visit to the Swiss Chalet in Markham, we encountered several disappointments that marred our dining experience. Upon arrival, there was an apparent lack of hospitality as no one was available at the front desk to welcome us. This initial oversight forced us to look for someone to assist us, which was not the best way to start our meal.Despite the restaurant not being busy at the time, the service was unexpectedly slow, with our food taking an excessive amount of time to arrive. Adding to our frustration, we noticed that guests who arrived after us were served their meals first, which was perplexing and disappointing.

When we arrived there our server Anna A was sitting. I had to go and get her so she can give us a seat. With no enthusiasm she takes our order. Food was quick which was the only good part of the service. Mash potatoes were old tasting, chicken was normal. Would I go back again? No I wouldn’t. I don’t think nah server should make you go get them for you to get a table.
My recent visit to Swish Chalet left much to be desired. The chicken I ordered was disappointingly overcooked and burned, rendering it nearly inedible. The charred taste overshadowed any potential flavors, leaving me regretting my choice and questioning the quality of their kitchen.To add insult to injury, the prices at Swish Chalet were exorbitant for the lackluster meal I received. Paying a premium should warrant a satisfying dining experience, but unfortunately, the burnt chicken did not justify the steep cost.Equally disappointing was the lackluster customer service. The staff seemed disinterested and inattentive, providing minimal assistance and failing to address my concerns about the poorly prepared dish. The overall experience was marred by a lack of engagement and professionalism from the restaurant staff.In conclusion, my visit to Swish Chalet was marked by overpriced, burnt chicken and subpar customer service. I cannot recommend this establishment based on my disappointing*The manager of Swiss Chalet reached out to me, extending an invitation to revisit the restaurant. I went there on January 18th and noticed a significant improvement in the food quality during this visit. Basi, who took care of our order, was exceptional, adding to the positive experience.
