This is an update to a 5 star review I wrote 2 yrs. ago. Yesterday, Aug. 26th, a friend & I had lunch at this location. As usual, the server(Valerie) & her service were excellent. However, my complaint is about the Manager....whom I never saw. This server always makes sure the kitchen knows I have Celiac disease & I've always been totally fine after a meal. But this time, after I'd been in the bathroom FOUR times, my friend told the server what happened and apparently she went to check things out in the kitchen. She came over to me to say that the MANAGER said I couldn't have had Celiac response to the food because 'the person in the kitchen had washed his hands' (don't they do that for everyone??) & nothing had touched my meal.' How rude that a manager can state that I could not have had a Celiac attack! I've had this severe allergy for over 33 yrs. and believe me i KNOW when I've been hit!!! I assume the manager thought I wanted to get out of paying for my meal but the fact is I always pay the bill and AFTERWARDS I share what happened....in the hope that this restaurant will take things seriously EVERY time...not just for me but for the many others who suffer from this condition. This MANAGER needs to become more educated about Celiac's Disease.

Portion sizing is absolutely criminal, not enough mac n cheese for even one person. Says it’s a side but this cant even be enough for a child, customer service was nice but lacking in common sense to tell customers ordering large orders that the sizing will not be enough. If you order a whole chicken to feed a family it should be clearly stated that the side portion will not be enough to save customers the hassle of paying big bucks with little return. Hopefully customer service will improve bcs it doesn't take a genius to inform customers with large family orders about the small mac n cheese portion size.

We're a regular here at this Swiss Chalet if were feeling to eat Swiss Chalet and we usually do take out, but this time we decided to dine in. We dined in for lunch and the atmosphere was clean, nice, and well maintained. Our server Dickson served us and he was very nice and welcoming. He kept checking in on us to see if everything is ok even though he was the only person working in his section, he made sure to check on every table. He delivered excellent service to us.

We dined at this Swiss Chalet location a few days ago and were fortunate once again to have Kitty serve us. Kitty is always very warm and welcoming and has a great sense of humour. Our meal was very satisfactory and Kitty’s presence was a bonus. It is always an added pleasure to be greeted as a returning friend and not just another customer.

This is my parent’s favourite dinner spot. They’re treated like family here which is amazing and tells you all you need to know about the staff. Just had a great lunch and our server was Kitty and she was attentive, friendly and efficient! Will keep coming back!
