Great quality and value!
Great sushi and very friendly staff!
The food is very good, fresh and the fair priced.
I put only 2 stars because they add by default gratuity and then the server presented the machine with those options to add tip. Dummy me I didn't pay attention to the bill details but not to the total. The server didn't say anything and I end it up paying a lot of tip overall. Unfortunately I realized about the dirty trick when I got home.
It is not an isolated case. I heard about the same story from 2 other families.
Amazing!!! We got their party tray promo with included SIXTY pieces of PREMIUM sushi rolls and 1 lb of salmon sashimi! 10/10!! The sashimi was FRESH and super tasty and thick slices ! And the rolls themselves were all so good!!! All premium rolls with good amount of fish, rice perfectly cooked! Cash only for pickup of thaws promo specials! Will definitely be back!
There's a reason this place has been around for so long. It's consistent.
The party tray is fantastic. I bought the 60 piece premium rolls + 1 pound salmon sashimi. The sashimi is especially good. Excellent price point and huge portion. Too much for even 6 of us.
Fresh, tasty, very good food.
I’ve been using this place for over 15 years the food always nice and fresh and stuff really kind and helpful
Delicious maki, sushi and sashimi for affordable prices. Got the aburi deluxe and syogun deluxe boxes, and a separate order of the purple gem maki roll. Best special roll ever with purple rice, tempura shrimp, avocado, cucumber, and topped with truffle sauce. So good. Definitely give @syogonsushi on Instagram a follow for the latest promotions.
Only thing to note is make sure you give some buffer time because sometimes the wait for sushi is longer than 10min.

I've ordered platters for special events like Valentine's Day and New Year's Eve, and they have always been amazing. The food is consistently fresh and delicious. Just a tip: make sure to call ahead to place your order, as they can get busy.
Parking: It can get busy.

Did not respect the pick up time. ~ 1 hour delay.
Scallop and shrimp were dry and not fresh.
Mild diarrhea after we finished the meal.

We ordered take out and the staff told us that we could pick up at 6:30pm. But when we arrived, the food was not ready and we had ended up had our food at 7:45pm!!! Please just let people know if you cannot prepare food on time!! Everyone’s time is valuable and we can only sit there and wait because they just keep telling us they have no idea how long to wait, but they’re “preparing”!!

I have known this sushi restaurant since I came to Toronto 20 years ago. It has its reputation.
Yesterday, we came here for their donburi. We wanted the Premium Syogun Don, but unfortunately the uni were sold out. So the owner substituted it with toro for us. We were a bit glad that the uni were sold out because the toro were so great!!
There were 3 pieces of each the fish, salmon, salmon belly, hamachi, and 5 pieces of toro, and a spoon of salmon egg!! Why did I remember so well? Because this bowl only cost $28! Which would easily cost you over $40 anywhere else.
Not only it’s super affordable, it’s also very fresh as well. I would say it’s comparable with J san, but has better sushi rice. The owner was very friendly as well.
There was also a section in the restaurant selling legos, which was a bit odd. After talking to the owner, we realized that those were his own collection over the past 20 years. He’s selling it just because he has too much of them 😂. And they were selling with a big discount. My friend got this Plum Bloosom for $28 that’s selling $40 on LEGO’s website.
In conclusion, if you are a sushi lover, I would recommend this place. If you are a LEGO lover, I would also recommend this place. If you are both a sushi and LEGO lover, you will love this place!
