Good spot for standard Hakka food. Easy dine in or take out process

2nd location. Compared to Whitby, it's not bad.
Food was ok, service was friendly.
Had chili chicken dry, manchurian chicken dry and house noodles with chicken and shrimp, spring rolls.

Terrible customer service! Went to pick up a scheduled order for 7. When I got there 3 of the employees working at the pickup counter don’t even acknowledge you (was not busy). With lousy service they ask for my order number. I provide the number and they don’t even check on my order. After waiting for 20 minutes they check on my order only to find that the order was sitting behind the counter the whole 20 minutes!

Unfortunately had a bad experience when I received the bill. In the menu it says a mango salad is 9.99. The bill showed 14.99. I asked why and they informed me that on the last page of the menu there is a label that reads, "menu pricing is a guide only, correct prices are based on the computer". I have never in my life seen a label like this and have never been charged a different price then what was on the menu unless it was an error. After I brought it up to them (because I had already paid tge bill) she did nothing. I know I could have fought for the difference but for the $ concerned it was not worth the effort. Just want to bring to future customers attention, as this is nothing short of false advertising and unfair business practices. If the restaurant really wants to play this game, they should conform pricing of the items for each order when it is being placed. Food was nice, unfortunately my last visit to this location, I have been a customer for over 10 years but they have broken my trust and when give the opportunity to correct they chose to do nothing. Good luck Tangerine, I hope you realize that deceit will not pay in the long run. Imagine

Ps. Imagine going to a grocery store and getting charged for something based on computer pricing vs what you see when you pick up the item off of the shelf, tge world would be upside down... Now that I write this, I find this pricing practice quite hilarious.

Very bad service. The general tso chicken was too sweet, no hint of spice. There was too much gravy we did not like it at all. We asked to return the dish and swap it, they refused. Custom service was very disappointing. For the rest of our dinner the servers would give us looks. We went out for someone’s birthday, great way to kill the mood!

IF YOU DINE IN OR TAKE OUT PLEASE BE CAREFUL THEY GIVE WRONG DISHES .MAKE SURE ITS HALAL . NEVER GIVES EXTRE SAUCES. ITS NOT A GOOD PLACE . EXTREMELY BAD ATTITUDE STAFF.
NOT WORTH TO DONE IN OR TAKE OUT. YOU CAN FIND MANY HAKKA CHINESE FOOD IN MARKHAM, TORONTO AND MANY OTHER PLACES. NEVER RECOMMEND.

Gave the wrong order for the third time

First time there and I enjoyed my fried rice and spicy chicken! It was ready in 5 minutes and I noticed they had so many menu options. Did I mention the rice was a lot? It’s literally two to three meals in one.

Use to be great place 10 years ago, but quality has gone down significantly. Stale, and small portions. There are better hakkas places, Won't be coming back.

Came here around noon, and the service was great in the beginning since we were the only ones there. Their lunch menu is affordable, and offers a variety of choices. As the hour passed, there were more diners, and the service became hit or miss. We had to ask for our bill twice.

It was my first time at a Tangerine restaurant and eating here. Food was okay (chicken over fried and eggshells in my fried rice) but would not eat here again based on the service meaning a lack of customer service.

I got chilli chicken with white meat and gravy, the gravy which wasn't even gravy (just lots of soy sauce and corn starch) was drenched (tossed) into the veggie fried rice. There is so much sauce that the veggie rice didn't look like veggie rice, the sauce overwhelmed the whole dish that I couldn't taste the rice! I didn't even eat the meal, garbage. This place has 3.6 stars on google, I found out the hard way.
