Tenon Vegetarian Cuisine

One and only Japanese vegetarian cuisine restaurant in GTA. All dishes up to expectation. Waitress is nice, able to speak Mandarin and English and attentive to customers’ needs.
It would be nice if lighting is brighter and level up a bit.

Solid sushi And the kung pao chicken dish came out of left field as a winner. Love tenon it’s a classic for vegans and vegetarians in Toronto

Went to the 1 on Bloor in between Spad n Bath n it is an experience.

Place is kept spotless n, saying this with pride n respect, every TOnian knows n loves Our city's bit o' grime n grit n tht area with its age n eccentric artistic sites, as well as the legendary Bruni House, gives tht Gr8 TO vibe.

The Ppl in Tenon made our xperience Gr8, the food was almost as good as the server's smiles.
Okay the sushi pizza might be a tie...............might.
The deep fried nori is nuclear; Bom duzn do it justice.

I was honestly blown away by this vegan sushi spot! The flavors and textures were so on point, I could barely tell it was plant-based—it tasted just like traditional sushi. Super fresh ingredients, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. A must-try whether you’re vegan or not!

Been here many times. The menu has good variety and everything I've tried here has been tasty! Would definitely recommend.

The food is great and different with other veggie restaurants I have been. You want to change your food routine, just come here.

My girlfriend and I visited this restaurant a few times before. The staff never added a surcharge for credit card payments, until they started doing so one day. The issue is that the surcharge amount was barely noticeable on the POS machine, so we did not know we got charged for it until we saw the receipt.

The problem is not that they added a surcharge, but the fact that they were not being transparent about it at the beginning. This raises concerns about their business ethics.

After this experience, we are no longer repeat customers.

What a fantastic experience, all of our orders were spot on and delicious. Staff was very courteous and prompt from taking the order to serving.

It was very quiet when we went in, but the server was very friendly and the menu options are fantastic! The food was prepared quickly and everything tasted great! I'll definitely be back!

At first I didn’t think much of a “vegetarian sushi restaurant”.. but this restaurant is something else - I keep coming back and my order is always the same. Spicy Broccoli rolls and Tenon Special Roll. So so good. I’ve tried other items on the menu and refined down to these two rolls being the absolute best. Everything here is made in well balanced proportions, the atmosphere is quiet - it’s not a ruckus even on holidays. The quality of sushi is 5/5, service is great too however one improvement to be made is checking in with guests a bit more such as refilling water etc - pls don’t let that discourage you from trying the restaurant at least once, you will be hooked as everything tastes so good! It’s hard to believe you’re having vegetarian sushi and the A La Carte option leaves you wishing this place was All You Can Eat. Must try, the drive here is worth it.

This is a hidden gem if you are vegetarian and would like to taste sushi rolls.

Secondly their rolls are $5. So ordering 3 rolls will be filling. For 2 people. In the economy we live, this is a very value buy.

Thirdly they are fast. place an order and you will see in your table in less than 5 mins.

Fourth, great taste.

We have gone here more than 20 times. My kids love this place for all the above reasons. Real hidden gem.
