The 6 Cafe is an absolute gem for Cantonese food lovers in Markham. From the moment you walk in, the cozy atmosphere and attentive staff make you feel right at home. Their menu is a testament to authentic Cantonese cuisine, with an impressive variety of dishes to satisfy any craving.
While everything I tried was delicious, the highlight of my visit was undoubtedly their tofu dessert. Hands down, it’s the best tofu dessert I’ve ever tasted. The texture was silky smooth, almost melting in your mouth, and the sweetness was perfectly balanced—not too overpowering, just the right amount to enhance the natural flavor of the tofu. Whether you’re a fan of traditional desserts or trying tofu for the first time, this is a must-try dish that’ll leave you craving more.

I order from this restaurant 3-4 times a week. Till today, there is a piece of metal found in my noodles.

Ordered take out from here and got a salt and pepper white fish. We found a piece of, what I presume to be, stainless steel dish sponge in the food. The sweet and sour pork was also one of the worst I’ve ever had. It was just all fat. Tried to call them back to let them know what we found and they did not seem concerned and didn’t think it was serious. What if a child ate this piece of steel? Would not recommend this restaurant.

The selling point is Japanese cuisine, the price is cheap, the food is of decent quality, and the whole family can go there if they don't want to cook.

After entering the store, someone patiently greeted me and took my seat. However, only half of the seats in the store were occupied at that time, and there were very few menu choices. Half of the two pages were Japanese dishes (combo), which felt more like a takeout restaurant.
Today we had fried rice with rice and the chicken was very rough; fried rice noodles with olives and green beans were not tasty enough because there were only a few olives and the portions were relatively small. The best thing was the stir-fried pork with lotus root and lotus root, which was the only one that was good enough. Taste of a dish.
The whole place was very noisy and the tableware was very old. They actually charged me 50¢ per takeaway box without informing me. Fortunately, I asked after seeing the bill, but the waiter did not come over to serve other than taking orders. I always saw them crowding around the cashier, so it was difficult to call anyone.
To charge $60 for such service and taste, I really won’t do it again.

?! Quality dropped.
Meal size is small. Sweet sour meat only fat and no real meat dum in flour and deep fried it not crunchy anymore like before.
Hk milk tea is bitter and less cream.
Most disgusting meal i ever had.
Not going back!???.
Asking 12% tip that china waitress is lazy called her over 2x for milk tea never bring it over. I needbto stand up and walk over to complaint.
Being a long time customer, this is the first time I visited this year. Took advantage of cooler weather, every summer they did not have air conditioning. The food is good but in a small portion. They still have the same Chinese New Year decorations all year round, looks like the management totally ignores this. Charged 50 cents for a takeaway container( which is a cheap quantity) is totally unacceptable.

We recently visited this place for their lunch specials around 11 AM on a weekday.
The staff was busy but remarkably attentive, we felt well taken care of. The atmosphere was lovely, adorned with charming Japanese fortune cats, succulents, and a variety of plants. However, as the lunch crowd arrived, it did get a bit warmer and noisier, which became a little distracting.
We tried the L30 Fried Rice Noodles with Beef and the L12 Deep Fried Pork Chop with Rice. Both dishes had generous portions, but I have to say the L30 was my favorite—it had that "wok hay" flavor that really stood out.
Just a heads up, they do charge 50 cents for a takeout box, so remember to bring your own if you plan to take leftovers home.
Vegetarian options: They do have a few vegan dishes in their menu.
Parking: Reserved parking available.

For Sunday lunch, my husband and I ordered Neptune Hsinchu rice and tomato pork chop rice, and took home black pepper chicken chop. The worst thing I can think of is the black pepper chicken chop rice. The black pepper sauce has a sweet and slightly sour taste, which is not delicious. The Neptune Hsinchu rice dine-in has very few ingredients, and only the tomato and pork chop rice is pretty good. I also heard from the quarantine station and his family that his sweet and sour pork rice was not delicious and he should not complain next time. ?
