Not the best experience here .. food was cold and chicken was dry. Also, their pricing is a bit wired.. the website and actually price did not jive for the dessert we ordered. Not recommended

Best Indian restaurant. An elevated experience. Food representative of extra care in preparation. My goto in Markham.

I wrote a Yelp review on this place 2 years ago but forgot to post on Google so here it is.Found this cozy, quaint resto near my gf's place. I followed google maps and pulled into what I thought was a random office/corporate building lot. I turned a corner and suddenly The Thandur's signage becomes visible. The parking lot is actually pretty big but not particularly busy. Seeing the small amount of traffic outside but then walking into the resto and being the only ones there (it was also peak/prime dinner time) I did not have high hopes initially. The resto inside is actually really small. Probably only like 4-5 tables total (w/ a couple of booths). There was one server manning the front of the house but my gf and I were kindly greeted and told to take a seat anywhere.I asked her a bunch of questions about the menu and she took her time explaining the items to us and the fusion take on things (I'd had kothu roti before but was wondering if there was any differences and what not). After taking our order, she told us the food would be out shortly. We got butter chicken pasta, beef kothu roti and a mango lassi to share. Restos like this are a reminder to never judge a book by it's cover. The place looked abandoned (this was post-covid waves btw) but the food was INCREDIBLE. The butter chicken pasta was sooo tasty. The chicken was tender, a lil charred, coated in DAT THICCC SAUCE. The pasta was al dente. Always had mixed feelings on fusion stuff but this pasta was actually so good. The beef kothu roti was super meaty, had a nice kick and came topped w/ a fried egg which was cool for the IG haha. Last but not least, the mango lassi was actually a proper one (proper salt and the yogurt was tart enough to cut through the spiciness of the roti). Does the mango lassi beat India's Taste mango lassi in markham? Nah haha. But it IS very good.Would not hesitate at all to come back to this place. The pricing was very honest. The portion sizes were big. The server was attentive and friendly. Most important of all, the food was excellent. That butter chicken pasta really is a must try.

Found a piece of hair in my order, absolutely disgusting!! I'm tired of this place, last time I ordered they gave me a completely different dish and this time I receive the dish in a smaller portion and hair!!! There's literally no hope for this place.

This is a small family style restaurant, we arrived at 7.30pm on a Friday night, the restaurant only had one other table with 4 guests. When placed order, samosa, chicken and beef were all out of stocks, but small chicken pieces were still available, so we ended up ordered butter chicken pasta, mutton biryani and garlic naan. The food was neither too oily nor salty and the dishes were cooked with fresh spice and herbs. The fusion butter chicken pasta is a rare find in Indian restaurant, it tasted a little spicy but was good. The mutton biryani was served warm only with lumps of rice sticking together which was not ideal. As with little guests, food wait time was a bit long but the only server was polite and attentive.

Horrible food! Menu is very weakNeither North Indian nor South Indian! 3 options for veg curry one paneer which tasted like rubber. Their spinach daal was watery served with rice not worth $14 But two dishes costed $35 which is a waste of money. Don’t recommend this place to anyone. They said they have mango lassi but only half glass, so they served mango milkshake. Bad customer service and owner himself is the one who manages it.

We were passing by this restaurant and I've always thought it was like a nandos. Maybe it's because of the chicken logo. I was pleasantly surprised by the south Asian menu I was looking to get some take out which wasn't overly heavy in carbs (although I love naan and roti). Anyhow we were greeted by the nicest gentleman. I told him it was our first time there but I was looking for something a little less carby. He proceeded to suggest the chicken dinner which were two finely seasoned chicken legs accompanied by veggies. He said the curries were also very popular but I went with his recommendation. While waiting for the take out, I felt like the restaurant gives a very chill vibe - almost an at home feel. It's small and comfy and perhaps we were very early, we were the only ones there waiting. Since I had my toddler with me, the gentleman even offered him a small snack while we waited. I definitely would be back to try other things!
