Food is just overrated and overpriced. Staff is okay but the seating arrangement is so weird, environment is mediocre at best.

The picture and text of beef tenderloin do not match, there are more vegetables than beef tenderloin, but the taste is still OK. The fried oysters are delicious, big and crispy. The pineapple sweet and sour pork is relatively dry and the surface is not crispy enough, but the taste is not lost. I felt that his service was very dull. He sat down for two minutes and kept urging us to place an order. He asked the waiter to get toothpicks but ignored him. I had to ask several times before I went to get them.

Came here years ago and in my opinion it was 5/10
Today we decided to give it a shot again, still only 5/10 maybe 6/10

Pork dishes on the picture was like 5/10 the food court in the plaza is even better.
As for the fish, I say tops 6/10 if that

The geoduck was not fresh, and the other dishes were just okay and lackluster. The food was very bland, and the service attitude was extremely poor. I spent 183 before tax and tipped $18.6. If I wanted to give more, I really didn’t have any change. The waiter made a bad face and will take the money. The plate was thrown on the table and said there was still $2 left. We really didn't have any change. The waiter said no, there was still $2 left. I asked her if the tip was the required amount, but she said yes and she couldn't afford it and left immediately! I was very angry and took back my $18.6. The woman who came to the service desk also had a very unfriendly tone and said that the difference was only $2. I was very angry and told her that I didn’t want to give any more! The service staff in the store are very poor! This is really the worst service in Toronto! 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Recently, a group of eleven of us celebrated a friend's birthday at A Xiaochu, and we had high expectations for this restaurant. However, this dining experience was quite disappointing.

Firstly, the restaurant environment is very cramped. Each of us sat with arms touching each other, and the table was simply not big enough to put all the dishes, so we had to add extra tables to place the food, which affected the overall smoothness of the meal and affected our dining speed.

What was even more annoying was that the restaurant's limited dining policy was not communicated to us when we were seated. After an hour and a half, we were informed that the time limit had been reached and asked to expedite our meal. At that time, the cake that we had prepared in advance to celebrate our birthday had not yet been served. The staff even put the cake packaging directly on the table and told us that we could enjoy it at home. This made us very confused and disappointed.

Throughout the meal, the clerk came to rush us every five minutes, gradually became unfriendly in tone, and even dropped the bill on the table when we were checking out. This kind of service attitude is really unacceptable. For us, the purpose of celebrating is completely defeated in such an atmosphere.

In the end, we chose to give a 5% tip, but the person in charge of the restaurant came out and said that the tip was not enough, and even mentioned that the amount before tax was not enough, which made us feel aggrieved. Tipping should be a reward for quality service, but with such unpleasant service, why should we tip "enough"?

Overall, although the taste of the dishes is acceptable, we have decided not to patronize Ah Xiaochu again due to service and dining experience issues. I hope that restaurants will have clearer management of meal times in the future, and that they will respect each customer's celebratory moment instead of purely pursuing profit.

Recently, a group of eleven of us celebrated a friend’s birthday at Top Choice Restaurant, holding high expectations for our dining experience. However, we were quite disappointed.

First, the restaurant's environment was very cramped. We were sitting shoulder to shoulder, and the table was insufficient to hold all the dishes, which forced us to add an extra table for food. This significantly affected the flow of our meal and slowed down our dining pace.

What was even more frustrating was that we were not informed in advance about the restaurant's time limit. After an hour and a half, we were told we had reached the limit and needed to speed up. At that point, the birthday cake we had prepared in advance still hadn't been served, and the staff placed it directly on the table, telling us we could take it home. This left us feeling confused and disappointed.

Throughout the meal, staff members came to remind us every five minutes, and their tone became increasingly unfriendly, even throwing the bill onto the table when we were ready to pay. This level of service was unacceptable, and our original celebratory spirit was completely undermined .

In the end, we decided to leave a 5% tip, but the restaurant manager came out to say it was insufficient, even mentioning that it was below the pre-tax amount. This made us feel aggrieved. Tips should be a reward for quality service, but under such unpleasant circumstances, why should we feel obligated to give an “adequate” tip?

Overall, while the food tasted fine, the service and dining experience were so poor that we have decided not to return to Top Choice Restaurant. We hope that in the future, the restaurant will manage dining times more clearly and respect each customer's celebratory moments rather than just pursuing profit.

To each their own the vibe could be unpleasant to some as it's noisy and seemingly chaotic, but it's this exact Canto vibe that makes this restaurant truly authentic. We ordered razor clam (among many off-menu but seasonal items), free-range chicken and other dishes and NONE disappointed. This restaurant is known for its "wok hei", seafood and the variety selection, at a very reasonable price. Service wise, well, if you speak perfect Canto and order efficiently they wouldn't give you hard time but otherwise no guarantees. I had seen many negative reviews on waitress's attitude issues but that's just typical "HK cafe style" culture; if you know you know. All in all 10/10.

The soups are so delicious and prices are good. Any food we ordered are delicious and with no MSG. Reservation is definitely needed, there’s enough time to finish the meal in 1.15 hr . Table turn over is fast. Highly recommend garlic/ orange peel ribs.
