Love their new location, spacious and pleasant excellent food and service. We visit Toronti often from Boston. We always go to have a good meal at Very Good Congee as soon as we arrived. Thank you for keeping high quality food and service at your wonderful restaurant.

I came to this place after a 2 weeks away to Europe, I miss the Hong Kong local food so much. They moved from the old location in the same plaza to this new location recentlty and it’s more spacious and comfortable than before.

Two of us ordered a beef tendon lo mein (noodles with a small bowl of soup come separately) with wonton and spicy minced pork sauce (which I love) and an assorted congee. They both taste really good, the ingredient texture is cooked and prepared perfectly and well seasoned. Not too salty. I love the congee texture. It costs around $33 exclude tips.

I include some other dishes I tried at a later date visit!

Came here a couple of weeks ago and had a wonton noodle, fried dace fish ball and beef and pork liver congee.

the wonton noodles were quite disappointing as this place supposedly was known for it and they add shrimp roe to the noodle. the wonton was very mediocore, taste was weak, shrimp small and loose. big trio is much better. the noodles were fine, but pretty standard. the shrimp roe didn't really add anything to the noodle.

the fried dace balls were good and the clam sauce included was good too, really enjoyed it

the congee was good, the consistency/texture was smooth and the pork liver bouncy.

overall it was ok, portions maybe smaller than places like big trio, soup, noodle, wonton below average. the other items i tried were above average but the price at this place is above average as well.

I have been visiting this shop since it was opened in King Square. In my personal opinion, it is number one wonton noodle in Canada. The taste and quality is similar to those high end brands noodle shop in Hong Kong. Wonton noodle soup with shrimp roe is my favorite. The pork liver congee is also excellent. I went twice after it had moved to first floor of the mall. The price is slightly raised and the quality is there. The only draw back is the shrimp roe in wonton noodle is only one quarter of before. It therefore becomes less tasteful. Otherwise I would give them 5 stars. Another thing they need to improve is chilly oil which is an important factor to add taste to noodles.

This is just to inform everyone with peanut allergies that the wonton in the wonton noodles soup contains traces of peanut (or peanut oil). We didn’t have a full own incident since my son detected a strange feeling early and we later asked and was told they do use peanut and we should have asked about the wonton earlier. Which is fair but this is more of a service announcement for other parents.

The waiter told us there were no rice rolls only when we got seated and ordered, instead of showing it on the menu front.
We ordered pork liver congee. The pork liver were almost raw and the whole congee is pretty bloody. So we asked to get it well cooked. When we got the congee again, the waiter told us we should request it to be cooked next time when ordering. I guess we didn't know this wasn't a steak restaurant.

Authentic Chinese noodles at a good price!!
