Can't go wrong with that price! Though the portion was great and value for money was almost unbelievable, I was also blown away by the flavour. I truly wish I lived closer, it would become a regular visit!
Love their dry noodles. Wish it came with a bit more meat
Delicious beef noodle soup, quick and amazing service, cash discount, even comes with a drink!!! Will be back!
I’ve been going to Wuhan Noodle 1950 for about three years now. This place is in Markham and I actually discovered it thanks to my best friend, who is from Wuhan himself. The first time we went, he was practically bouncing with excitement. He recognized so many of the dishes and wanted to order almost everything on the menu. It really reminded him of home, and seeing that reaction already told me we were in for something good.
Since then, it’s become a bit of a ritual. Whenever I’m in Toronto for work, I make a detour to Markham just to eat here and usually bring some food back with me too. It’s that good. I keep thinking they should open one in Montreal. I’m pretty sure they’d be packed.
The food is the definition of comforting and flavourful. My top three recommendations are the hot dry noodles, the doupi, and the beef noodles. These dishes are rich, well-seasoned, and full of depth. They’re simple in presentation, nothing fancy, but the taste speaks for itself.
The space is small and pretty no-frills. Parking is easy, which helps, and the staff are lovely. Very sweet, soft-spoken, and polite. You’re not coming here for showy service or trendy decor. The place is modest, a little tucked away, but has that kind of charm that only really authentic places have.
Everything about it feels real. The portions are generous. The prices are fair. The flavours are bold and comforting. It’s the kind of place that doesn’t try to be anything other than what it is and that’s exactly why it works so well.
If you’re ever in Markham, I’d highly recommend stopping by. It’s one of those local gems you wish you had around the corner from your own place.
Started coming to Wuhan Noodle during the pandemic, partly because of the name (yeah, I was curious), but mostly because the food turned out to be seriously good. I still find myself coming back every now and then.
It’s a cozy little spot with super friendly staff who genuinely try to make sure you’re happy with your meal. Nothing fancy, just low-key comfort food that hits the spot. My usual go-tos are the Wuhan Dry Noodles and the Beef Noodle Soup. I always tell them to make it as spicy as possible, which I love, but probably not for everyone.
This time around, I stuck with the Wuhan Dry Noodles, and as always, they were perfectly satisfying with that serious heat I crave. We also shared Siu Mai this time. Not the best I’ve ever had, but honestly, that’s not why I keep coming back. It’s all about that simple, hearty vibe and the kind of food that just warms you up. No regrets here.
I had an amazing meal at WuHan Noodle 1950! The highlight for me was the chili beef noodle—it was flavorful, perfectly spiced, and the beef was so tender. Definitely one of the best bowls of noodles I’ve had!
I also tried the tofu skin with sticky rice as a side dish, and it was fantastic. The combination of textures and flavors was just perfect.
I came to Toronto and chose a restaurant next to the hotel for lunch. I was really disappointed. The hot dry noodles taste very strange. The beef noodle tastes like instant food. The most annoying thing is that with an egg added, it really looks like a snack egg. I really didn’t expect this kind of store to open in Toronto. The reviews are all negative. Please avoid lightning.

Beef noodle soup is delicious! Hot dry noodles are not my cup of tea, but the boss is super nice and the tea eggs are also very delicious.

I don't know how this place is still open. The food (chicken dry noodles) tasted bad. And just when we were leaving, a mouse fell from the ceiling near the kitchen. Ugh. Will never be back.

The taste was good but I didn’t want to finish eating it after seeing how part of the beef became neon green and there’s a hair on the beef.
